Well, you could consider it a waste of time, money and brain power. There are enough humans as it is, so why make more? Further, we could be doing more useful things, like implementing bioremediation, developing strategies to conserve the environment and save endangered species, and figuring out how to halt/cure certain diseases.
People could experience a disillusionment with cloning, if they expect the clone to have a certain personality (that of the original person).
A huge problem might be what rights the clone would have. Who would be the parents, for example, if only one person's DNA contributes. I guess that could also confound any investigations that rely on DNA evidence, if both the clone and the original were still alive.
General outrage and disputes over ethics would also be a factor. Don't we have enough to argue about as it is? There'd probably be a lot of opposition before you even clone, leading to social unrest that, frankly, we don't need right now.

the largest scientific disadvantage with human cloning is that you could be taking DNA from say a 40 year old man, and making a clone of him that will start as a new person, a baby.
The problem with this is, on the ends of our DNA are random segments of code, called telomeres, which do not code for anything, and simply serve as buffers to avoid parts of the important DNA being cut off every time a cell replicates. Every time a cell replicates, parts of the DNA strand are lost.
So, the DNA from the 40 year old man, would have to go through a whole lifespan over again, and the telomeres could run out, which would cause important coding segements of DNA to be lost, which could cause serious complications and mutations.

The biggest disadvantage is that, as with all new technology, there will be a lot of mistakes. What to do about the mistakes is a huge ethical problem.
