Hi.

I'm trying to find the critical points for the function :

f(x)= x sqrt(x - (x^2))

I don't seem to know what to do after using the product rule with chain rule...

I got:

[(x(1-2x))/(2 sqrt(x-x^2))] + sqrt[x-x^2]

Can anyone show me the steps on how to proceed with this? I would be super grateful.

Thanks!!

PS: I know the answer is 0 and 0.75 --> I need to know the steps.

Aerobic respiration, or the process by which animals use energy by breaking down glucose in the presents of oxygen, is described by the equation:

C6H12O6+O2>>>CO2+H2O

Balance the equation.

Calculate how much carbon dioxide is exhaled if an animal inhales 32.0 gO2

What is the source of the glucose and oxygen?

, give the equation of the quadratic function, and state what the x and y in the application represent. Choose at least two values of x to input into your function and find the corresponding y for each. State, in words, what each x and y means in terms of your real-life application.

Is there any other examples you can think of besides Ball dropping? or trajectory or determine Max ORD or maximum ?
I need a real life example with the equation and answer.

The reusable booster rockets of the space shuttle use a mixture of aluminium and ammonium perchlorate as fuel. An equation for the reaction is:

3Al (s) + 3NH4ClO4 (s) --> Al2O3 (s) + 3NO (g) + 6H2O (g) + 2677 kJ

Calculate how much heat is released when the following quantities of aluminium are consumed according to the above equation:

(a) 1 mol
(b) 1 kg

Please help me work out this question because I don't know how to do them...THANKS! :)

Hi.

can someone help me with this?

I know that

(sqrt [a] - a) X (sqrt [a] - a) = (a - a^2)

but when I multiplied it out using FOIL, I got:

a - 2a^(3/2) + a^2 which does not equal (a - a^2)

I used a as the variable instead of x or else the multiplication sign would be confusing.

Please help me figure out what I did wrong here.

Thank you.
