Shouldn't be that hard. The perimeter is the sum of THREE sides.
So 7a-11b = (2a+b) + (a-9b) + third side.
Since a and b are separate variables, you can separate the problem and solve for a and b.
third side = 4a - 3b

Perimeter 7a-11b

One side=2a+b

Another side =a-9b

Total of this=3a-8b

Deducting this from total perimeter 7a-11b
- 3a-8b
=4a-3b
