4. Solve the system of equations using the substitution method.
If the answer is a unique solution, present it as an ordered pair: (x, y). If not, specify whether the answer is “no solution” or “infinitely many solutions.”
-3x + y = 1
5x + 2y = -4

5. Solve the system of equations using the addition (elimination) method.
If the answer is a unique solution, present it as an ordered pair: (x, y). If not, specify whether the answer is “no solution” or “infinitely many solutions.”
-7x + y = 8
2x – y = 2

6. Solve the system of equations using the addition (elimination) method.
If the answer is a unique solution, present it as an ordered pair: (x, y). If not, specify whether the answer is “no solution” or “infinitely many solutions.”
3x – 2y = -7
-9x + 6y = 21

In theory, it seems that this should be possible with a giant capacitor or something. I am no electrical wiz', but it seems that the earth gives up more "free" electricity than we can even come close to creating ourselves. Shouldn't we figure out a way to use it? I understand it would be very regional, but so is wind, solar, hydro, geothermal, etc.

I found this video, can be seen here http://www.metacafe.com/watch/718152/how_to_turn_water_into_ice_in_seconds/,
that freezes a cup of water almost instantaneously. One of the posted comments explains the phenomenon, allegedly called Graham Shrinder Effect, but is not very clear. Is this something bogus or does the explanation make sense to anyone? It mentions this "deromindal corpus attraction" that I could find no reference of. Thanks.

I need your help. Briefly explain to me the roles of a jockey pump and a diesel engine fire pump in a high rise building. This would be for a five story 100,000 sq ft structure with it's sprinkler water supply coming from the city's main line. Which of these 2 pumps would need to have backup battery or generator power in case of an outage. And if the city water line was broken(hurricane Katrina) how could this cause the diesel pump to run itself dry until it overheated(the oil in the engine was like tar). Just need to know the basics for an interview. Thank you Thank you.

how is did absolutely nothing produce something. Or how could matter always exist in a time based dimension. This is totally illogical because something cannot be infinitely old because it would require an infinite amount of time.
