Only domesticated cats sleep long periods. Why? Because we do. Typically cats in the wild only sleep around 3-6 hours per day.

They are efficient ambush predators. Once they eat, they don't need to walk around looking for food. We provide all their needs so their main goal in life is comfort and digestion.
