The first telescope was made by Galileo. He called it an "optik tube". He put two lenses (invented by a Dutchman some time earlier) together in a tube and used to it look at the moon. He eventually went blind looking at the sun.
The earth is in the Milky Way galaxy, a collection of some 200 billion stars and a part of what's known as the local group of galaxies.
Constellations are groupings of stars as seen from earth that to certain people resembled different objects. Some constellations are Leo (the lion), Draco (the dragon), Ursa major (the great bear), Orion (the hunter) and Scorpio (the scorpion)
I couldn't find any reference as to which shuttle carried the HST into orbit but it was launched in 1990 and there have since been four servicing missions to keep the thing working, the first of which was to correct the defective mirror.
