I have two options--I can launch a rocket in Alaska, or near the equator in South America. Where should I launch it, and during what time of day? I'm thinking the rocket should be launched near the equator, because then I can gain the velocity of the Earth and save fuel. Is this correct logic?

Here a strange little story. When i was five years old, my father said once that he was going to stay late to watch TV. The next day, curious, i asked my mother why ? She tried to explain to me: man has walked on the moon for the first time in history .I answered: no, that's cinema, if man had walked on the moon, i would know, that's my domain!

I hate people who say innacurate things, and even more when they are convinced that they know what they are saying.

For example, I've had a relative who used to say with all conviction that children always inherited their father's blood type, or that people only died when the heart stopped and not when the brain died, among other nonsense.

So, please help me not to be one of those people.

My aunt had a stroke, and lost all her mental and motor skills.
She lies on bed all day, she doesn't move and although she opens her eyes she doesn't recognize anybody.
She can't eat on her own, and she wears diapers.
She has been living like this for 6 years.

So, am I correct to say that all her cerebral functions were damaged?
Or, does cerebral activity only stop when the person dies?

(You can complete this with any information that you find pertinent).
