Detriot, they need a good cleansing. Newark would be second.

Hyannisport, Massachusetts, and then on through Boston -- reduce the Kennedy property to rubble and then take aim on the city that boasts the most egotistical, elitist, unfriendly people on the planet.
God doesn't need to hit Detroit with a CAT 5 hurricane. The city has already been decimated by the downturn of the auto industry, corrupt politicians, and one of the highest murder and crime rates in the world.

God's a sweetheart he wouldnt ever decimate a city just because it was full of sin. Old Testament? Never heard of it...New Orleans again? Good point actually. I'll bet on miami or detroit. boston is actually loaded with good catholic folk. I really doubt he'd hit it. As far as I can work it out from the bible he'd have interests in removing concentrations of murderers and gay people. Pick the two cities, one for gays and one for murder rates. Maybe Los Angeles?

Los Angeles for sure, people out there have no sense of common sense or reality (unless that reality comes in the form of a television show). It is sad that the world now judges the rest of this country based on the happenings in LA. And that only happens because of how the media has over hyped that city and the spoiled brats that live there. I mean people are famous there because they are rich and so out of touch with everyday life that they get coverage off of their ignorance.

None of the above.
Certainly not New Orleans LA! What did they ever do to you? No God does not operate in day to day events as some misinformed Fundamentalist types inaccurately think due to organized religion's misinterpretations of the Bible. The bible says "time and unforeseen circumstances befall us all..." No when He does do this type of thing it will be a global effort...
But if I must play this Old Testament vengeful God part in your script... lesse' what city in the USA is the worst den of inequity and worthy of God's wrath for unrepentant sinful behavior of late??? Hmmmm... I know Washington DC in the capitol district!

None of the cities above. I would hit NYC. That place hasnt been hit with a hurricane for a long vtime and it is overdue. Its special bay causes storm surge to increase and since it is very populated humans will learn to see mother nature and global warming as they did in New Orleans. Also, its great infrastructure will accelerate winds.

Definitely not Detroit - I go there too much! I don't want my casino, baseball stadium, etc. washed out!! How about Newark...doesn't seem to contribute much.
