I am about 4.5 months pregnant and have signed up for a class at my local hospital in March. I am due at the beginning of May. When do you normally take childbirth classes? Earlier or later or whenever? Do they always show a video at the course? My husband may not be able to watch it!
What do you think? Thanks!

I am 10 weeks pregnant and have been with my employer for 6 months. It is a very small company and I am the first person to hold my position. Also, as strange as this may seem, I will be the first one in this company to get pregnant. My boss is a 63 year old veterinarian. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to tell him or what I should say?

when i first found out i was pregnant i never had kept track of my menstrual cycle and it was pretty irregular.. id go 2 or 3 months at a time with no period... so when i went to the doctors they told me i was 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant on may 4th... i understand the math behind the 40 week thing goes back to the first day of your last period.. but since i didn't know, and went by measurements, does that mean i should be expecting the baby sooner then 40 weeks? basically im asking would 5 weeks and 6 days prior to may 4th have been the date of conception or do they calculate that with the extra time for the period also? sorry so complicated i could barely understand my own question rereading it but please try to understand it haha i swear it makes sense

I am due on thursday the 13th, i am still in no pain what so ever, no contractions, blah blah. i walk and hike and stretch and am super super active. anyways i was thinking, since she will probably be late, if she could be induced on my birthday, which is the 19th. that would be six days overdue, and im sure she would be fine. she is a big baby already, im 5'10 and my boyfriend is 6'2. anyways, i think this is a quite reasonable request. has anyone been able to choose the day to be induced, after almost a week overdue?

For my next baby I'm switching to cloth diapers and I've narrowed it down to two brands - MotherEase (I like the cost-effective one-size option) and FuzziBunz. Any mothers with experience with these two brands? I have two reservations with FuzziBunz.....they are polyester, right? And also, more expensive than MotherEase.

a very fertile time for a women? my husband and i had sex last night unprotected and used the extremely unreliable "pull out" method. i'm just wondering if right after your period is a more fertile time. i think i'm going to start ovulating sometime today. also this part i'm just curious about. can women get pregnant when they're not ovulating? someone said something about being able to get pregnant at any time, like when not ovulating, on period, etc. is that false or is there a lot of truth to that?

I go back this week (19 weeks) for another one. Do you think its a boy or girl? I thought girl, but now thinking boy b/c she saw a penis later in the pregnancy. Any ideas/suggestions? Can they be wrong about a boy? Seems hard to mistake that. :)

My partner has been experiencing different baby movements in the past week that are making her a little anxious. She is about 26 weeks along. She says that the movements are not like the usual feeling of an arm or leg but like the whole body is going all at once. She doesn't think it is the hiccups because it is not repetative enough.

On Wednesday I will be 29 weeks pregnant with number 2.
During my 1st pregnancy, I was put on bed rest at 29 or 30 weeks after loosing my mucous plug and my doctor realized I was dilated to 1cm. While on bed rest I was diagnosed w/ severe preeclampsia & had to be induced @ 36 weeks exactly. When I went in to be induced I was only dilated to 2-3 cm so I didn't dilated much in those 6-7 weeks that I was on bed rest.

Is the chance of this happening again, this time, about the same, higher, or lower? (Not the preeclampsia, I'm referring to the risk of preterm labor.)

I just turn 28 weeks and I've read that at this stage I should be feeling my baby move a lot. My concern is that there are days that he's just moves a lot and there are days that I can't even tell if he's moving. Should I be concern or is this normal to happen?

I'm almost 13 weeks pregnant and I'll be constipated for a few days and then have diarrhea. Is this normal in pregnancy or should I call the doctor? No other symptoms such as bleeding or anything. I have had 2 m/c but did not have this when they happened.

I just had a 10 week ultrasound and showed friends some pictures. Well they all told me I was going to have a boy because they tend to develop faster than girls, that girls dont start to show until after 3 months. Is this true?

I'm a military spouse, so my choices are pretty limited in regard to hospitals if I want my insurance to cover the costs. With my first pregnancy I felt like a lab rat, sometimes being "required" to come in as often as 3 times a week for testing. I do NOT want to repeat this now that I am expecting again. I want as limited care as possible. I know I have the right to refuse care, but just how much can I refuse before my OB can say they will not provide service?
