My partner has been experiencing different baby movements in the past week that are making her a little anxious. She is about 26 weeks along. She says that the movements are not like the usual feeling of an arm or leg but like the whole body is going all at once. She doesn't think it is the hiccups because it is not repetative enough.

Thanks for the reassurance. Is there any chance that it could be having seizures?

It's normal. It's like a rumbling where the baby is doing somersaults or rolling on it's side, right?

If she's worried, have her ask her doctor. But, remember that the baby has the room to move around still and could be doing somersaults, etc., while in the womb.

trust me it's normal... He's just moving around in their, there is not need to worry. He's still pretty small, so he had a lot of room to move around. Towards the end is when she should really moniter the baby's movements because they move a lot less since there isn't much room in there for them to move in.

Movements are ok.. But when there is NO movement is when you should worry. My baby used to change positions all the time and I felt all of it!

That's how my little girl is now. I literally feel like she's throwing herself inside or something, like she's in a mosh pit.. lol :D
At first it was a cute little wiggles, .. then a couple of little kicks and punches here and there. And now throwing!!! haha :D But I guess they're just trying to get comfortable, I mean they are kind of running out of room in there. ;) But it always make me feel good when she moves, especially when I can see a random little bump sticking out of my stomach. :)

It's normal.. and the bigger the baby gets, the more it will feel wierd.. considering the baby is trying to get comfortable and get into position for birth..Just try and relax, if something was wrong, the doctor will let you know.

When they have enough room, babies will do complete flips and it feels like your whole body is shifting. Tell her to enjoy it before the baby gets too cramped.

My baby moves its whole body, too. I can literally feel him turning in there. It feels VERY odd- I'll see a little bump (his bum) then it goes away & he does some sort of twist. :)
If she is concerned though- call your nurse or Dr. (no need to worry when you can call & be reassured)

It's normal. They do cartwheels and all types of things in there. Tell her to enjoy it. It's a neat thing.
