Birthcontrol question?

My girlfriend is 15 years old and 5'2 and 127,130 lbs.

She wants to go on birth control cause we have had to many prego scares.

Shes always tells me that shes fat and shes not. eveyone has that one roll lol.

She doenst wana gain alot of weight becuase of BC.

and shes soo scared of needles.

And again shes 15 ,5'2 hight and 127, 130lbs.

But what would be good for her???

I would recommend the Nuva Ring. If she doesn't want to insert something once a month I would select a pill with low hormone like Loestrin 24. You don't have to have a shot for most birth control, just a pap smear.

The doctor told me that gaining weight from birth control is actually a myth. But if you are still not convinced, (because I was not either) you can get on a low dose of BC. I recommend Loestrin, it is one of the lowest doses out on the market. Plus it is set up so that your period is a lot shorter. And I really don't recommend any other type of BC- especially not Depo (the shot) I have heard horror stories of people gaining tons of weight on the shot. Good luck!

Don't listen to precious...completely anyway. I have a friend who became pregnant twice when using birth control and a condom. Neither are 100% eaffective. But tell her to ask for yazmine (I think that's how it's spelled) minimal side effects, including weight gain.

Have her look up different kinds though. Whatever you do don't get any of the shots. They cause serious health problems later on.

She can ask her doctor. First of all, always use a condom. I have for 5 1/2 years and never got pregnant while using them. Second, birth control pills may make her gain weight but when you are pregnant you gain a lot more weight.

Loestrin is a good one. I didnt' gain any weight on it. But you should always use a condom as well, the pill is not 100% effective!
