I just had a 10 week ultrasound and showed friends some pictures. Well they all told me I was going to have a boy because they tend to develop faster than girls, that girls dont start to show until after 3 months. Is this true?

There really is no way to detremine gender at 10 weeks gestation via ultrasound. The only way to really tell boy vs girl at this stage would be through CVS chronic vili sampleing. At this stage in pregnancy, boys and girls look exactly the same.
Boys and girls develop at the same pace.
Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy! : )

Nope, not true. Even at your 20 week ultrasound the doctors are not always 100% sure of the sex of the baby, so I doubt very much that your non-doctor friends would be able to tell this from a 10 week u/s.

I think its not true. If you are really concerned about the boy or girl then wait for few more weeks, your doc might tell you at the correct time. I would suggest, be happy and cheerful. Think positive whether its your prince or princess. Good Luck.
