I noticed two days ago while I was rubbing my stomach that when I touch my bellybutton it hurts, it is a rather sharp pain. I can't remember whether or not I have had this same experience in my other pregnancies and I was just wondering if it was normal or if anyone else has experienced this?

My midwife can over to my house today and did a strech and sweep for me. I'm currently 3 CM dilated, 50% effaced and EXTREMLY soft.
Did anyone have a strech and sweep work for them?
She also said if I haven't had my baby by Saturday to call her at 10AM and she'll come do another.
I was due yesterday.

I've had some problems during my pregnancy - with a minor placental abruption at 12 weeks, and constant spotting and bleeding all through-out. I started PAINFUL braxton hicks at 16 weeks, and was put on PROCARDIA to control them - and my cervix has been checked every week since I was 24 weeks pregnant. I am 50% effaced as of now, and still am spotting for no reason. I am in constant unbelievable pain and on bed-rest. My OBGYN suggested to do a C-SECTION (I did not want a vaginal delievery regardless if i went to 40 weeks or not) I am just scared about my baby's condition at 36 weeks and 4 days. I know 37 is considered full term, but still....my doctor thinks its in my best interest. We've done a non-stress test, and it was perfect. My doctors words "A very healthy baby"...I just dont want him to end up in the NICU, - which means he'll have to be transferred to a different hospital than where I will be. We're doing a final ultrasound to check his size tomorrow. HELP! I AM GOING CRAZY!!

How long does morning sickness normally last or when does it start?

With my first pregnancy I never had morning sickness and with this one it's been the same way so far. I am going to be 9 weeks pregnant this Friday ... so I wasn't sure if I was out of the clear or if it could still just being starting if it is going to happen.

Thanks for everyone that answers the question!

Is their anything i can use? maybe ice will help? Is it normal to still feel pain like this and when will it go away?

Also does your body type and your baby have anything to do with it? Im little and had a 9 lb baby but i dont think that has anything to do with it...we all have SOME pain...

I am 15 weeks pregnant and I have to take the test in about a month. For the past 3 years I have been extremely cautious about staying away from sugars of all kinds (even fruit.) I don't feel good when I eat sugar, and it gives me a rash.

The problem is, they are going to make me drink this sugary mixture (YUCK). Since I never eat sugar, I don't know how my body will handle it, and I don't want to be labeled as "high risk" when I know I am eating right for my baby.

Anyone hear of any ways to "pass" the diabetes test. I heard that almonds help your body digest sugar. Any other ideas? Should I start eating sugar now, so that my body can handle the sugar test?

I'm on bc pills but I missed like 3 weeks of taking them. My last period was Nov 15th & me & my husband had unprotected sex around Dec. 8th. I'm about 1 week late. For the past week my breast have been sore, I have to use the bathroom a lot, more tired than usual, lower back pain, mild cramping, frequent headaches, nauseous, etc. Today I had some light bleeding almost pink with some discharge. Is it implantation bleeding? Could I be pregnant?

I had irregular periods when I was 14/15, got on birth control pills. I have been on them 7-8 years continuous. I have stopped them now for about 3-4 months, my husband and I are TTC and nothing. I don't think that I am ovulating from checking my cervical mucus. I don't want to go to the doctor and her tell me to wait it out, then I wasted 25 dollars. I was just worried because I had irregular periods before. Should I wait it out alittle more or go to the doctor and talk to her about it?

I just moved, and have set up an appointment with a GYN doctor. I don't care much whether it's a guy or girl, but she happens to be a girl. My question is... What do GYN doc's really think when they're "down there"? My old ob/gyn only ever saw me because I was pregnant, and I didn't care what she thought then, but now.. I just worry about the silliest details. I guess... I don't know, I want to know if it makes their job easier if you shave/wax before a visit, what if I have a busy day and can't do a quick clean up job before I'm seen, will she judge, do you think? HELP! :(

Any thoughts, comments, funny stories... anything would help really, just let me know I'm not the only one who worries about this silly stuff :(

Cheers

I am 19 years old, and I'll be 20 in march. I just found out I was pregnant about a week ago. I've already told my boyfriend, but I am not sure how to tell my mom. I just have this weird feeling that she will be very upset with me, and I don't know why. I think she might suspect something since I've had really bad morning sickness & I've just been saying its the flu even though she knows I've had my flu shot..but she hasent said anything.

i just took a pregnancy test and the results were a dark blue line in an oval and nothing in the circle. the thing is, i don't have the box and have no idea what the brand of it is b/c it was a spare test from a few months ago.

so are all pregnancy tests the same??
usually one line is negative and two lines (or a +) is positive?

please let me know.

We have a daughter who is 2 and I am almost 12 weeks pregnant. I wanted to stay home with our daughter after she was born but my husband insisted I go back to work so I did. I know we could afford it with me not working but he says it's not fair to him. Our house is always dirty because working full time and being pregnant has taken all of my energy that I have left...I swear this may sound gross but i'm sure our dishes havent been done in weeks....he works swing shift so he even gets days off during the week but doesnt want to help around the house and expects me to do it all. So I told him that if I could stay home I would make sure the house was always clean and there was always dinner on the table every night...but he still refuses?!?!?! What am I susposed to do?? Please help...

Hey all, I'm a little concerned and need some professional help. I live in China and they are kind of idiots anyway...but they gave me a diabetes test but not one where you have to drink anything. Just the finger stick one. Will this work for pregnancy diabetes or not? I'm a little concerned since I seem to be thirsty all the time and have only gained 2lbs in 29 weeks. I'm also 34 yrs old and have a history of one miscarriage and one stillbirth. The stillbirth was April 07 here in China and they never told me why she died...I think it was an umbilical cord accident. Anyway should I be worried or is it all basically the same?

What month did you conceive?

The reason I am asking this is, I went on a website to predict the sex. I had to put in my age, and the month I conceived. It predicted a girl.... So I tried it with every month of the year, and it only said boy for two out of twelve months...

How can they predict the sex by only asking my age, and conception month..? I know it's just an online test, but I've had three girls and I really, really want a boy this time!!!!!! So I was curious what month you conceived your'e boy.!! Thanks for your time! :0)
