If your pregnancy is high risk, they may do an ultrasound at two-week intervals, just to make sure that everyone is OK - both you and baby. If you have toxemia, then you are definatly considered high risk, and they might induce your labor anytime now...but most likely will wait (if it's manageable) until 36 weeks, which is technically "full term."

I had an ultrasound achieved at 12 weeks and then yet another at 22. My coverage in basic terms covers 2 so as this is it. After the anatomy ultrasound (18-22 weeks) i do no longer think of ultrasounds are coated till there's a scientific want. you may get one and pay out of pocket.

With my first pregnancy I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks (to check dating) and another at 21 weeks. There were no concerns, so that is all I had. This time around I haven't had one yet and I'm 20 weeks 2 days. My first ultrasound is this Friday (very excited!!). It depends on your doc and your pregnancy - some doctors routinely do more than others, and you'll obviously have more if there are any concerns or complications

um what are they doing for your toxemia, because toxemia is when preeclempsia goes untreated and you begin to have seizure, preterm labor, etc.... due to the high bllod pressure, it will usually be monitored very closely on bed rest.. very serious condition but has nothing to do with reoccuring infections? Not to mention when I was diagnosed with Preeclempsia within a week si had 4 ultrasounds to check the functioning of the placenta? I am questioning your story, or maybe you arent explaining things right

Normal low risk pregnancies will have one at the beginning and a 20 week ultrasound (usually done between 17-21 weeks) No more after that. Since you have complciations, your dr. may want to do more later on this trimester.

I've had 3 ultrasounds and I'm 22 weeks pregnant. It depends on your doctor. You can always ask your doctor when the next one is and why you haven't had another US since 17 weeks. Good luck!

I've had 3 ultrasounds already and I'm just over 21 weeks pregnant. I'm due for another one at 32 weeks as I have a low placenta. I guess it just depends. I'm from Australia and they do one at 12 weeks and then another one at 20 weeks.

My doctor's office does a growth US around 31 weeks give or take a week or so. You can request it or in some cases the doctors will offer it in case your insurance covers it. It should normally be optional unless in your case they need to keep an eye on baby. Your doctor may not see concern for it if you've been having US at the hospital as they usual get the records from there themselves.
