The broad answer is yes. However, there are factors that can result in a false positive on a home pregnancy test.
First, how soon did the line come up? If it was within the guidelines in the directions, you can probably trust the test. If it was outside of (it's usually 10 minutes) then it could be an evaporation line.
Second, what color is the line? Does it match the control line, or is grayish? If it's grayish, or if it's not generally the same size and shape as the control line it could either be an evaporation line or a problem with the dye.
Answer is generally a good brand, and can be trusted, but I've heard of the occasional dud. If you can afford it, I would recommend buying another test (maybe even a 2 pack) and testing again in the morning with first or second morning urine. (Some of my pregnant friends swear by SMU as opposed to FMU).
If you're TTC, I hope it truely is a line, and wish you a HH9M!

Although it is very common to get a false negative, getting a false positive is next to impossible. The hpt looks for a specific hormone that is only present in your body when pregnant. Congrats! You're pregnant!

When HPT give a wrong answer, it's almost ALWAYS a false negative. It's EXTREAMLY rare that they would ever give a false positive.
