My midwife can over to my house today and did a strech and sweep for me. I'm currently 3 CM dilated, 50% effaced and EXTREMLY soft.
Did anyone have a strech and sweep work for them?
She also said if I haven't had my baby by Saturday to call her at 10AM and she'll come do another.
I was due yesterday.

I guess I should also add that this is my second child.

It should work, they usually do, especially since you're progressing already.

Stimulate your nipples, 20 minutes at a time every hour, dont stop until real labor kicks in. I promise it will work. It causes a hormone change that induces labor. It got me through my 2 day marathon labor, and helped both my friends end up in labor.

It really does work.

My midwife did this and it gave me contractions the first time that didn't progress into labor. The next week she did it again at my appointment and my water broke a few hours later and I had to be induced...So I guess it didn't really work for me as I wasn't having contractions when my water broke, but it definitely can work! I had never felt a single contraction until she sweeped me that first time. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with my water breaking or not. It's a quick procedure and worth a shot IMO.
