Pregnancy - August 2007

i'm having a baby boy in october. he's half white, half hispanic. my family has been making jokes since day one. at first i laughed along and didn't think much about it. now the jokes keep coming and they are starting to get pretty harsh. i've told them that they need to watch what they say b/c i don't want my little boy to feel treated differently than anyone else. some of the comments offend me alot and i've told them that but it doesn't seem to stop. any suggestions? it's starting to stress me out and i have enough things to worry about. help!

I wasjust wondering why when someone on Y answers has a serious question, they can only on average get 4-6 answers but you have a troll post a question that is so freekin dumb they get 30 or more answers/ comments. Dont you think our time would be better spent to skip over the trolls and answer those who really have questions? Might also detour the trolls, if they dont get a rise out of people then they dont get their kicks. Just a thought, anyone else?

Its just anoying when you have to waste 5 pts to ask a serious question and you do not get a variatry of answers, I myself like to keep my points and only ask questions when I really need a good answer then I get few answers and its frusterating. Suggestions? I know some of the questions may not be interesting that ppl have but gotta be better than the trolls right?

I just entered my 12th week of pregnancy.
I'm either 91 or 92 pounds.
I'm very fit. I have this really small bump that looks like muscle or something.
Why aren't I showing? I looked up on Yahoo! Images and all the 12 week pregnant women on there have pregnant looking bumps.
When am I gonna get one of those??
And I eat good too, and drink lots of water!

My friend just called me to tell me she woke up bleeding. It was more than spotting but no clots or real heavy bleeding. She can definatley feel small gushes. She hit a deer last night and crumpled her van up, but she called the doctor and they said that if there wasnt any major impact and no airbags deployed then that wouldnt have anything to do with it. Has anyone carried a baby successfully, and had a light period type bleeding? She is so sad, and I told her to think positively, but its kind of hard to, and her husband is mad at her, because her gloomness is messing up his day.(he is a real jerk!)

Haha!! sorry, i am driving you guys nuts today!! i am at work, and bored :) anyway, for the last week or so, i have been feeling these like little movements coming from the baby.. at first i just thought it was little gurgly gassy bubble things.. but it is continuing.. and i am not gassy.. YAY!! for my husband..lol!! anyway, is this the "fluttering" sensation they are talking about? I thought it was supposed to feel like a butterfly.. i pictured it more like little tickles (sorry, this is my first) so is this fluttering?? and if so, how long after does the first kick usually occur? What did yours feel like, and when was it in relation to your first kick? thanks!!

My husband and I are having a discussion at the moment over whether or not to circumcise our baby if it's a boy. He wasn't done so he sees no reason to be done but I know a lot of other people who insist that it's cleaner and that women who won't date men who haven't been circumcised. What do you think? Men who've been circumcised, do you regret it?

im 4 months pregnant and i was a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding on Friday and during the evening i did a lot of dancing, i thought if i can't drink im still going to have fun. I did take breaks when i felt a bit tired and i did get a twinge at one time which i think may have been my body telling me to take a break which i did. I dont think i did anything too exhausting but i did bop about a bit. Since saturday i have been stricken with worry , what if i hurt the baby, what if i have give them brain damage or broke their limbs, what if they are not alive anymore. I know im probably being totally over the top but i can't stop panicing : (
any advise

I am 25 and had a positive pregancy test last week and went to see the doctor. He said I was about 5 weeks pregnant but didn't confirm the pregnancy as a positive test is all that's needed and didn't seem at all bothered by my news. I know this sounds weird but with no confirmation I'm questionning if I really am pregnant. I have had a few symptoms like tiredness, queasiness and constantly going to the toilet and I haven't had any cramping or bleeding to indicate a miscarriage. I'm just so scared that there is no baby or that I've lost it and don't know about it. This is my first pregnancy and I have noone to talk to who's already been through it. Please help, by telling me what you experienced in the first trimester.

Also, should I go from doctor's estimation of 5 weeks pregnant or from conception (about 3 weeks) in terms of how far foetus has developed?

Well I am looking for the most effective birth control method.. and am thinking.. doubling or even tripling up on bc may not be a terrible idea.
- I REALLY don't wanna get pregnant and its pretty much my ultimate fear lol.. (do not tell me to not be having sex then lol and btw i am still a virgin)..

I've been considering the pill, however worry that its not effective enough.. I was also looking at iud's but then heard they failed 40 percent of the time (in real life, not ideally as they have listed).

suggestions/opionions please? is especially helpful if is based on personal experience! thanks!

-ALSO can you double up on birth control AND an iud AND a condom (lol and maybe withdrawl?)

I am going to be 8 weeks on sunday and I don't know what it is but I have bloating and I cant suck in anymore because it hurts could I already growing a bump?? I am a 5 foot 9 inch 140 pound woman. This is going to be my first child and I do not know what is going on with my body.. Anyone with suggestions it would be greatly appreciated...

I've heard that it works for some women, and doesn't work for others. I'm at 39 weeks today, and my doctor is willing to strip my membranes, but he says it "doesn't work". I'm ready to have this baby, but don't want to do something unneccesary or painful for no reason. But if it gets things going, I think it would be worth it. I'm 5 cm. dilated and 70% effaced, but the contractions that I was having have slowed waaaay down (they were 3-4 minutes apart, but only progessing me very slowly). My doctor will not induce me until I am at 41 weeks. What do you think about me getting my membranes stripped?

im average size about 6/8 or sometimes 10 but its like all my pant are getting tight and uncomfortable on my tummy, i get bloated at night expecially after my pre-natal vit. is this normal? is anyone else outgrowing pants this early? and my breast already grew, wireless bras / and sports bras are alot more comfortable to wear

soft, not hard at all. uncomfortable as if i was 6 months already i had ultrasounds but they say everything looks good but i am wondering can they tell how far along i am by the ultrasound? because the doc says i am 10 weeks as of now but my stomach is just huuuge, with my son I did show until i was 4 months anyone knows what might be happening? I am also 4'11 short. my private hurts really bad and my lower back. anyone has went true this?and i am pretty accurate about my last mestrual period 6-2-07

I usually buy generics, like ibuprophen instead of advil; it's the exact same thing and you save a few bucks.....but should I spend the extra money on a good home pregnancy test since I can't take any risks of "malfunction"??

I am five weeks pregnant with twins. I was told I should start to show about seven weeks. I was also told that when I am 4-5 months pregnant, I should look like I am nine months pregnant. I can't wait to see what I will look like when I am eight months. I just want to know if I can be pregnant with twins and not have morning sickness because every website I looked at says if you are pregnant with twins, you should have extreme morning sickness and I have no morning sickness. my baby moves plenty and normally when he wants but alot of people ask me to "make him move" and if i push on one side of my stomach not hard or anything he will move around alot i just want to know if there is ANYWAY this could hurt him at all...and also after i did it a few times i was afraid i was gonna make him move to much to get the cord around his head or something he is fine and moving now but should this not be done is it harmful to him?

Ok,I think I'm pregnat but I took a home pregnancy test&it showed up neg.I had unprotected sex,please dont say nething cruel b/c I already kno I was wrong 2 do it,15 days ago.& I was ovulating&his was precome.But Im also thinkin it could b a false pregnancy b/c I want to be so bad.But Im having signs I didnt even know u had when u r preg.Like I didnt kno your stomach got hard,your whole stomach is sore&aches sometimes,& I didnt know u spotted instead of havin your period...The reason I think I am is b/c,on Jul 30,I started spotting for 3-4 days and I was supposed to have my period on the 3rd of this month and I'm 8 days late now.People say it could b from stress but thats not it b/c even when Im REALLY stressed,Im still regular.I get irritated easily sometimes,again my whole stomach is hard&achy,missed period,I feel achy all over like I have a cold.If I am,Id only be 15 days pregnant so I dont think Im supposed to have a lot of symptoms yet right?So do u think it's false or am I preg.?
