Haha!! sorry, i am driving you guys nuts today!! i am at work, and bored :) anyway, for the last week or so, i have been feeling these like little movements coming from the baby.. at first i just thought it was little gurgly gassy bubble things.. but it is continuing.. and i am not gassy.. YAY!! for my husband..lol!! anyway, is this the "fluttering" sensation they are talking about? I thought it was supposed to feel like a butterfly.. i pictured it more like little tickles (sorry, this is my first) so is this fluttering?? and if so, how long after does the first kick usually occur? What did yours feel like, and when was it in relation to your first kick? thanks!!

Yeah, thats the baby. Not everyone feels those first movements the same way. For me, it didnt feel like fluttering either. Instead it felt like pop corn popping in my tummy. They were very light little movements and could only be felt by me. I started feeling those around 18 weeks. Then in a matter of just a few weeks later (21 weeks) they started to feel like a fish was flopping around inside there. By this point my fiance could feel the kicks. It felt like that for a while. They just got more and more intense. Now at 35 weeks it feels like he is wrestling around in there. He doesnt so much kick but he is just slidding across my tummy because he has ran out of room. It is an amazing feeling especially when you actually see your baby shift sides. This will all happen before you know it! Good luck and congrats!!

yes that's the flutters. in fact i always thought they felt more like gas than anything else. i think i started feeling movement between 16-19 weeks and the first real kicks started about 24 weeks. with both of my kids the first big kick happened right as i layed down to go to sleep. and believe me when i say i didn't sleep at all that night. it's a wonderful sensation and one you will never forget. good luck

Yay!!! Congrats!!! It could be the first movements. I sat around waiting for butterflies too. Never happened. Took me awhile to realize the "gas" I thought I was having was the baby. Lol It felt like a poke and sometimes a thump.I'm just really ticklish so anything this kid does makes me laugh and giggle. My first movements were at around 17 weeks. I have yet to experience a pronounced kick or jab.

The early momement never felt like butterfly flutters to me. It felt like little bubbles popping in my stomach.
