most of it is hormones.

make sure you get enough exercise, its crucial during pregnancy. Stretch well before bed, have a warm shower or bath (warm, not higher than 100 degree water),lay down and read something.

You have to tell yourself to stop. When your mind goes else where just tell yourself to stop. There is no reason to get out of bed. Its a good skill to learn to be able to cause yourself to be peaceful. it will come in handy during labor and while raising and infant.

keep the same routine each night, and make sure you're geting enough sleep.

you can also try HALF a tab of REGULAR unisom. Its safe and regularly prescribed by midwives and doctors. However, for me and most women I know it just makes you feel really shitty the next day.

I worked at a home for pregnant teens, most were in a bad situation and were very stressed. I helped each of them create a bedtime routine. This really calmed their nerves. It was very interesting to see what people considered relaxing, lol. Some listened to relaxing music and wrote their hopes for their baby in a journal. This was a favorite. Others, we had pick out one item a night for their baby bag or just take a warm bath. Or we made a list of things to do the next day. Some even wrote letters to their babies and started baby books. One thing that always guaranteed they would go to bed easily was exercise during the day. We walked and did yoga (breathing exercises and stability ball). We also practiced lamaze and focus techniques for delivery. Pregnancy can be a stressful time. There is an endless list of things to do. However, don't forget a healthy baby needs a healthy mom. hope this helps.

That started for me even before I knew I was pregnant. It's getting better but my midwife had to give me some meds to help me sleep because I was only getting 2-3 hours a night and have to work so no naps.

i can totally relate, maybe a list of things that need to be done "tomorrow" note pad within reach of your bed? soft music, ocean waves or nature sounds help some people... it will all come together!
