Just make sure any test you buy says it is 25mIU/mL sensitive. Other than that +/- tests are easier to misread than two line tests, and digital tests are probably easier to read (particularly if you are going to hold it up at an angle, under a bright light, while squinting because you really want to see a positive).
Ultimately though all tests are made in exactly the same way, and some of the more expensive tests are actually less sensitive than the cheap ones. Equate (wal*mart) was actually one of the first tests that was 25mIU/mL sensitive.
Here is a list of test sensitivities and reported problems -though of course they are anecdotal and the list may not be completely up-to-date as far as sensitivities so check the packaging:

It all depends. My best friend bought one for 3 dollars! Yup 3 bucks and it was accurate. She was pregnant. You have to be careful how you do it, and follow the exact directions. All pregnancy tests look for the same thing, which is a pregnancy hormone in your pee. My sister bought the most expensive one and it was not right. She went to the doctor and found out. Wait at least a week or two of your missed period to test. Good luck.

Honestly, I'd just stick with the generics. I've taken quite of a few pregnancy tests and the $1-$5 tests have ALWAYS worked just as well as the $15 tests. The test that finally determined that I was pregnant was a $2 test from Wal-Mart.

Even dollar store tests seem to work well.
I would bet its fine, however, you will probably end up questioning the results. Just pay the extra few bucks.

I always liked the 'Accuclear' brand.
It's an off brand found at most drug stores and way less than the name brands... and for whatever reason it showed positive before the EPT and other more expensive tests did.

I prefer EPT. But if it didnt work prperly they couldnt sell it. They all work the same. Remember you cant have a false positive but you can have a false negative. If it show a slight positive the hormone is there.

I tried 99 cents store once and shown positive, and I didn't believe it, so I spent $ 17.99 for 2 tests (EPT) at Rite Aid, and still shown positive..so I think they all the same. good luck.

I got accurate results on a generic one just make sure you are past your due date for period so it detects it. Sometimes the cheaper ones don't detect quite as soon. Good luck
