Pregnancy - June 2007

Just curious how far along everyone is right now. I'm 23 weeks and a few days. We found out a couple of weeks ago that it a boy. Still no name for him though. Due date is October 9'th. How about the rest of you?

i have always loved imported cheese now that i am pregnant i am craving sharp cheeses like parmesean, emmentaller, gruyere and swiss are these ok to eat because i know that pregnant woman are not supposed to eat certian types of cheese, becuase of bacteria......

I'm hoping I'm pregnant with my first child and I'm starting to think that me hoping so much is having me believe that I'm having some early pregnancy symptoms. My period should be here around next the 20th or so. To start with I've had abdominal discomfort continuously all week (not painful, just a different feeling) and now I just feel something in the region under my navel. I also think my breasts feel harder than usual although they are not very sore. I'm also exhausted, have been having some headaches and sometimes feel slightly lightheaded/nausea. Could these be early pregnancy symptoms or is my hope and feeling taking over?

I was excited to get my first ultrasound last Thursday. Is my first pregnancy and i was told i would miscarry. I started to bleed last tuesday very light and it got heavy by the fourth day and it lasted heavy for two days. It's been light since then but yesterday and today i stopped bleeding. Can this be a sign that i won't miscarry or does the bleeding come & go? I was told that 90% i would miscarry and i have been dealing with the grief since i found out. I don't want to get my hopes up since i've stopped bleeding. I know everyone's experience is different but it would help to know your experience. How long doesn't it take to miscarry? Did you stop bleeding at some point during the transaction? I pray everyday as well as my family that it won't happen. The man above is the only one that can decided and i will praise him even if i lose my unborne child. I was just hopeing your experience will help me.

Ok, I just want to know....does your vagina size/strength/shape return to normal and the same after you give birth? I'm being induced in 2 weeks (June 26th!) and he is *expected* to be right under 8 pounds. I am wondering, since he'll be somewhere around that size, how long does it take to get "small and tight" again? Weird question, but I don't want sex with my boyfriend to change after our baby arrives! (yes, there will be much protection used this time around!)

I am 15 weeks and a first time mom. What am suppose to do with my Baby at 6 weeks old when I have to go back to work? The idea of leaving her with a total stranger at a day care is just heart wrenching. But I can't stay home for finanicial reasons. Any other suggestions besides day care? What did yall do?

I'm 23 and i'm healthy but, I have irregular periods so that i'm not getting pregnant (Also i'm not going for any gym - b'coz one of the reason for irregular periods) How should i calculate the peak days for irregular periods. I'm in need of a baby...Is their any problem in my uterus...? Usually i won't get my periods naturally if i wait till 3 months. So my doctor suggested some pills to get my periods. This is not fair but now i'm in need of a baby, before 3 years i got married. Everyone is expecting a baby from me. So i went to the doctor and she suggested the same period pills and also she gave the fertility pills to increase the ovulation. Today is my 5th day of my periods. I have to take through 9th day, is that pills will really works and when i need to work-out for a baby. Pls suggest some ideas. Pls help me to conceive. Will that pills really works to get pregnant ?

My husband and I are having our first baby! I'm not sure if we have all the necessary items off of the baby list.

Am I missing anything important?
What do you suggest?
Are we ready to go?

I'm six weeks and lately I've been so forgettful! I'll tell my husband the same thing twice, then he laughs when he reminds me that I JUST told him that, I'm sending in incomplete reports at work, I'll forget that I even SENT a report and start to do it again, etc. Anyone else had this experience? Normally I'm very organized and together.

i am worried about passing on Group B Strep to my baby. My midwife thinks they can't get the antibiotics to me in time because my first labor was so fast and I live 30 minutes from hospital...anyone know if inducing me early might help control or slow down contractions so they have time to get antibiotics in me? I'm really worried :(

This question is for my wife. She stopped breast feeding 11 days ago and still is in pain (as least one side is engorged) She is wondering when it will end? When does the body stop producing milk, and return to normal? This is our second daughter and my wife breast fed her for 1 3/4 years, so she knew stopping would not be an overnight "return to normal" but does anybody know?

My husband and I are pregnant with my first child (his second)! We just told our families, and my parents were really excited! But his mother told me that it wasnt fair to his little boy! because he doesnt live with his daddy (he is 2)! Every time we talk it's always "poor brayson he's going to be jealous, and she even tells me she prays it's a girl so that it wont hurt his feelings, his daddy having another little boy! Im about fed up and I just want to scream at her and tell her that there are other children in this world besides Brayson and was she expecting us to never have a child together! What should I tell her, so that I dont start a huge family fued?

I have been having some early signs of pregnancy. First, the mood swings are terrible. I would cry at work simply because I had work to do. Back pain, headaches, fatigue, you name it. I haven't been able to tell if I have a horrible case of PMS or if I am pregnant. I went to the bathroom a minute ago and I had light bleeding. I have been doing my homework, so I know about implantation bleeding. My question is that am I just freaking myself out, or could this be real? Also, is it bad to use a tampon if it is just implantation bleeding, because I don't know.

I'm taking the gestational diabetes test today for my baby and I wasn't allowed to eat anything for 12 hours before the test and I can't eat anything until after they've taken blood 3 times in 3 hours, so I won't get to eat a thing until 1:30 this afternoon! That's 16 hours without food and I'm starving already! Seriously, if i nibble a couple Ritz crackers, will that mess up the test results? I can't take it anymore!

18 weeks is considered your 5th month. How can that be when there are four weeks in a month. Isnt 18 weeks 4 and 1/2 months? I mean I will take the 5 months because it pushes me along but I dont understand the caluculation. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or can you explain it to me? Thanks!

with my oldest i labor for 14 hours before pushing for one whole hour. when i went into labor with number two almost had no time to check in. they were wheeling me down the hall and i was crowining. with number three, i labored five hours before getting her out in under ten minutes. tell me about your labors and deliveries.

i am 37 weeks pregnant and i just had a ultrasound the fluid around the baby is a little on the lower side(5.8) well it was on the normal range but low on the normal range. i am really nervous they said they will keep a eye on it but still i am nervous any advice? Why is it low? Will everything be alright?

I miscarried at 5.5 weeks last time, had a d&c at 8 weeks. I'm 5 weeks now and scared to death that I'll loose this one too. I have a drs appointment next Tuesday and want to request an ultrasound so that we know if this one is going well or not. Want to know how soon I can realistically expect to see a heartbeat so that I don't get too anxious. Help!
