Dont you think it should be a law on how many kids a mother can have if shes NOT taking care of them?!?!?! This just blows my mind. Theres this girl thats a huge drug user here in my town, she is 35 years old, and just gave birth to a baby boy, who only weighs 5 lbs, she did drugs all through her pregnancy.....She has 8 kids and only has custody of one of them. Isnt this a sad situation. I think our government should make them tie their tubes!!!

im 5 months pregnant and i went to the doctors yesterday with a sore throat ..now it has gotten worse like sneezing and stuffy nose..she told me she cant prescribe me antibiotics because there is no infection ..like green phlem or snot ..she said i have to ride it out..is this normal being pregnant or should i worry that it will hurt the baby with me being sick.?

Hi everyone, Im new to this site and was wondering if someone could help me. This might be a really stupid question but I have never been pregnant so plz forgive me. My period was due today and has not come, its regular and every month very painful. Anyway, my body temperature has been really high the past couple of days and I have been sweating profusely, I have also been experiencing a 'strange' feeling in my stomach. Im not sure how to explain it, its like muscle discomfort or for lamens term, its like someones 'squeezing' whenever I get up from my couch or crouch down. I have been off work the last few days with a bad cold so maybe that what this is but my husband and I had unprotected sex on Xmas night, which we never do ( have it unprotected, I mean ) and I dont know, I just wonder. I apologise if this all sounds the ramblings of an inexperienced paranoid person but I dont know what to compare it with. I have yet to buy a test. What do you think?

be skinnier at the end of it all, while not sacrificing (obviously) the health of my baby?
My mother said she lost weight during the pregnancy just by walking.
Just to clarify, I know I won't look skinnier DURING the pregnancy.. I mean AFTER.

My friend’s little sister is pregnant with her first baby, her shower is in a few weeks. She emailed me today to tell me my invitation is in the mail and that she and her sister expect me to be there.

The problem is that I don’t really like my friend’s sister, she is not even my friend. She is very into herself and brags about money they don’t have.

I am pregnant myself and have been very sick and honestly even if I did like her I wouldn’t want to go because I have been so ill.

How do I politely tell her that I can’t make it, and should I wait until I get the invite and know the date? Should I lie and say I have a family event that day?

We are not close so I don’t see why she would expect me there!

I've been going to the toilet to do poo's quite frequently in the last few days. I heard and read that if you have a lot of movement in that area, that the baby is soon to be on its way. Is this true or is it just wishful thinking on my behalf?

I'm concerned about pre-term labor as I am 32 weeks and have a history of pre-term labor. If you gave birth to a preemie at 32 or 33 weeks can you please tell me about how long your babie's hospital stay was and any complications that were faced? Thanks. I had a 34 and 35 week'er with no problems but this is the earliest I have had these pre-term labor signs.

My sis has been pregnant twice and with both her stomach sticks out like a bullet or a bomb you see in cartoons instead of the normal rounded shape that I see all women with. I have never seen anyone else pregnant with a belly shaped like that. I'm pregnant myself and my belly is shaped normal. My sisters stick straight out and it resembles a huge bullet. Does anyone know how that could happen?

MY husband has been pretty sick and now Im starting to get it too.IM 25 weeks pregnant. Ive got a bad cough and sore throat. Im not able to go to the doctor yet due to missing work. below around my pubic bone and almost feels like inside muscles too. Nothing is swollen, no contractions, no cramps, no bleeding, just sore if I move or lift one leg. Just getting out of bed is hard at times!!

Also, I am due for my glucose test tomorrow and want to know what it's like and how long the results take.

I am 22 weeks pregnant with my first and for about a week I have been staining my blouses with breast milk or rather colostrum. It became embarassing and I have started wearing protective pads. My doc says it's ok, but my mom says that this happend to her too and in effect she didn't have breast milk after she delivered. Has this happen to anyone else?

On New Years day my girlfriend and I had sex for the first time together. We did use a condom that night, and we only had sex for about 5 minutes, and the condom was clean, no ejeculate or pre ejeculates. However, the stupid thing we did was when we woke in the morning, we decided to have sex again, using the same condom. We did not check for holes in it or anything to that sort. This time having sex, we went longer and I did pre ejeculate. It has only been 3 days since then and she has been having cramps whch she usually does not get. We've talked to planned parenthood and they have said the cramps may be nervousness. I noticed a few other pregnancy signs, but my questions are: 1. Would she notice pregnancy signs only 3 days after having sex? 2. Is the risk of pregnancy high for using the same condom twice only for pre ejeculate. (I know that pre ejeculate contains sperm...but I'm scared). 3. If she gets her period, is it safe to say she's most likely not pregnant? Thank you!

Hi everyone. I accidentally posted this question in the "newborn section", but I think the "pregnancy" section is more appropriate. Sorry to those who are reading this question twice. I myself hate duplicate questions.

Anyway, I'm not freaking out or anything, just want some general information from those who are experienced...

I'm 35 weeks along and my baby dropped about a week ago. I'm wondering how long after your baby drop did you go into labor? I was watching this Lamaze DVD that I purchased and the educator had mentioned that if the baby "drops" or engages, the average mom will go into labor approximately 4 weeks later. Now, my husband is a little freaked out that the baby will be coming a little earlier than the due date. This is our first child and we're very excited! :)

ok here is the deal
i always start my period on time on the 27th of every month
in april 2006 i bled on the 27th through the 1st then the next month which was may i had some spotting which isnt usual and then i had my period a little late i had it on the 30th and i am now 7 months pregnant so my question is can you get a bleed while being pregnat
