who here thinks a "necessities" shower is a good thing?
by necessities, i mean things like diapers, wipes, formula, bath essentials etc.

I have heard that some girls have similar pregnancy experiences to their own mothers...any truth to that? (i.e. if your mother had morning sickness everyday, you did too?...) Thanks!

I was wondering when u get off the birth control shot is it easier to get pregnant and about how long.because i just got off of it like on dec 12 and had unprotected sex that night and been having headaches and feelin sick, but when i was on the shot i was sick thats why i stop. and i know most docters use ur last period to know how fair u are how do they do that if ur were on birth control

I'm just wondering if anybody else at this stage had a pinching feeling in their vagina? It doesn't feel like a cramp and it isn't real painful, more annoying. Anyone know what this is? Thanks for the info.♥

I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant, and my husband just got back from Iraq. I just found out today that my husband has to leave again on Jan 30th for some leadership training at another post. The training is for 30 days, so he will be back sometime around the 1st part of March. My due date is March 20th. Our nearest family is 13 hours away. We have friends but no one that we are actually "that" close to for this type of situation....does anyone have any advice or ideas on what we can do? (also I will have NO contact with him the whole time he is gone, only Red Cross Emergency)

This is my second missed period, but I have taken a pregnancy test and it wasys that I wasn’t pregnant. I know those things can sometimes be wrong. I’m on a lot of medications encluding birth control. If I am pregnant wouldn’t that harm the baby in any way?

Okay... I had unprotected sex Nov. 30 and Dec. 19 and missed my period in December. For the last past couple days I've been feeling really weird and nauseous. I haven't threw up but just really sick and feels like I have too. Does anybody think I could be pregnant? And should I go ahead and take a pregnancy test or wait a little longer?

I have not had any testing done except the first ob visit at 6 weeks. Shouldn't I be having the AFP test or something? Please help! Also do you think we could find out the sex this time? We have ultrasounds at every visit so if at all possible we want to go ahead and find out. I kinda want to wait but am too excited to start buying little things.

I had an ultrasound done at 34 weeks 5 days pregnant. The radiologist said the baby's head is measuring closer to 38 weeks gestation, and his abdomen is measuring at 34w 3.5d gestation. There is a large discrepancy between these measurements which suggests placenta failure and or deterioration. I have to be monitored closely now and have weekly ultrasound apointments. My question is, has anybody else ever had this and went on to delivering a healthy baby? I can't find any notes or web pages on this in any search engine. If you can post any resources that would be very helpful as well.

having the contractions I thought was normal however, after about an hour I started having them every 3 minutes exactly for another hour. It finally stopped after an hour of contractions at 3 minutes apart but I'm still a little worried could this be a sign of pre term labor. the contractions were all in the stomach (tightening) but still was a little scary to last that long. should i be paying attention to any other symptoms

i went to the obygn yesterday and they said that when she checked me that she could feel the head and that my cervix was soft but she said my cervix hasnt opend yet my question is am i gonna go into preterm labor i am only 31 weeks and i have been having contractons that landed me in the hospital last week but when they checked me at the hospital they didint say anything about the being able to feel the head of the baby or that my cervix was soft and please note that i am barley 31 weeks along and that this was the same doctor who checked me last time who checked me yesterday so again my question is does this sound like i am gonna go into labor before i am 40 weeks along what is going on in my body please help i know this is a stupid question
