My neighbor wwas going to do a water birth, but she changed her mind once she got to it cause she said that the water is on the cool side so she got cold fast and you can't have any meds, like an epidural when you are having a water birth, and she couldn't move like she wanted to so from her experience i decided not to do it and wouldn't really recommend it to anyone.

my boyfriends step mother had a water birth for her last child and before that just putting the baby into a warm bucket of water

it is much better for the child and it's completely safe.
the baby can stay under water for up to 15 minutes- thats how long it will continue to breathe through the cord after being born.

I heard it's way less pain since it's so much more calming...also try a silent birth....no one talks or they do very quietly so that its not a huge shock to the baby. you and the baby are both in pain and I know when Im hurting I hate people talking around me!

my friend had it on a boat but not in the water, she said it still felt like normal, but the pain was less, and turned out the baby loved water.

Whatever way you do it, it will still feel like stretching the
top of your mouth over your head.
