You can drink ginseng tea while pregnant, but make sure it is definitely in moderation. I actually just read that ginseng tea can reduce your chance of preeclampsia. Congrats on the pregnancy :-)

Don't know abut ginseng but I thought I would tell you that during my first pregnancy I too quit coffee. The exhaustion is just part of the plan and having a couple cups of coffee isn't going to cure that. During my second pregnancy I did drink coffee and had no issues, or problems. My kids both weighed the same at birth and were born at 37 weeks.
My point is that coffee is not a bad thing and its going to make much of a difference, if any at all.

Green tea isn't an option!!!! Just stay away from any of the herbal teas is a good rule especially if they do not list all of their ingredients. I couldn't give up my a.m. coffee or caffiene, I had the worst headaches, combine that with nausea and it makes for bad days...I tried for two weeks. So what I did was drink a cup or 2 of 1/2 caff. coffee in the a.m. and allowed myself 1 caffienated soda in the afternoon. Headaches gone. Exhaustion still there but did subside to managable by the time I was 1/2 way through my 2nd trimester. Plenty of water and a 30 minute walk helped a little. Best thing I did was change my bedtime hours, I was usually sound asleep by 8pm everynight.

Try a glass of room temp water with lemon squeezed in it first thing in the morning. I quit drinking Diet Coke cold turkey when I got pregnant and this really helped!
I think all the homeopathic supplements say to talk to a doctor because they aren't FDA regulated - so they cover their bases and put that on everything. I know from experience that some of the "energy" supplements I'd tried (not while pregnant) caused me to feel jittery and my heart to race - seems logical that this might not be a good idea while pregnant.
You doctor should be the trusted person to give you advice on what to take. Most of the teas are very weak versions and I'm betting a lot are okay.
ps: you'll get less tired soon...hang in there!

ginseng tea is definitely OK!!!
Your "off coffee" is what is happening to your system. Two months in and you're cruising! Tea per se and green and ginseng variants will not harm you. Antioxidants RULE... (cough, cough) Seriously...

I wouldn't purely becos they have never run tests on herbal teas on pregnant women, so cannot be sure they are safe. One that IS safe tho is pepperment tea - and very refreshing during pregnancy - try that
Do NOT drink raspberry leaf tea, as the person below suggested!! It can bring on labour!
