So i go to the doctor today & i have to get an ultrasound done & i'm 16 weeks is it possible to find out the sex today?

Usually you find out the gender at 20 weeks, but it is possible to tell this early if the baby cooperates.

You can ask the doctor. The worst he/she can say is "no".
I had an ultrasound done at 13 weeks and my fiance asked the Obstetrician if he could tell the sex yet. Luckily our OB was a really nice, friendly sort of bloke and he said he'd have a look. He told us that he was "90% certain it was a boy" but to wait for the 20 week scan to be sure.
Well it turns out he was right, I had my little boy on 30 November!!!
Ask the doctor like I say, the worst that they can say is "no".

Yes it is possible, especailly if it's going to be a boy. When I was 13 weeks, I had an ultrasound and she said that she thought it was going to be a boy but wasn't 100% sure. I had another ultrasound at 20 weeks and she was very sure then.

Yes, if the baby is cooperative:) Believe it or not I found out at 11 weeks, but I'm having a boy, so it's easier to recognize it! Good luck:)

yeah it is. I am only 13 weeks but at my next appiontment which is at 16 weeks I find out the sex of my baby!

You probably could as long as baby allows it. With my first I think I was 14 weeks. I think I was 16 weeks this time.

I had a sprint lady. They may be able to give an educated guess but I believe you have to be 20 weeks to tell for sure. Even then, it is not 100% accurate and the baby has to cooperate.

possible...I found out at 18 weeks though....you may be able to find out if the baby is in a good position, though
