Mostly likely no. I feel a lot of pressure (33 weeks today) and my baby is not engaged. It is just the weight of the uterus and baby.

The baby can turn from the birthing position and back around all the way until your last few weeks. Most of the time the baby will get in the birthing position near the end, but will not "drop" until a few days before delivery. Your OB/GYN will be able to feel the pressure of the baby upon an examination of you and he will tell you so.
Pressure, immense pressure is normal from about your point until the end. I wore a pregnancy support garment to help me with the problem.

No its not to early to engage, espeically for a first baby. They can engage quite a few weeks before they are born.
I had a lot of pressure in my pelvis when my son engaged - this was at about week 36 of my pregnancy.

Hi,
Technically or medically speaking, NO. This is not engaging. In simple and non-medically speaking, engaging is when your baby gets ready to come out. Its the beginning of the delivery process and usually head start to come from cervix into vagina ( if normal presentation)
On the other hand, Engaging at early time period or after 27 weeks can be, at least hypothetically, is possible. Although baby born will be of " Low for birth" and with slim chances of survival.
Your feeling may be or can be due to other reasons. It may be stress or weight of baby putting some pressure on your back muscles. Or lack of rest on your behalf.
Sometimes, baby do change their positions while in womb, it is possible factor to consider.
If you think, that this condition is giving you problem, or increase or decrease in fetal movement ( Quickening), then consult your health-care provider.
Otherwise: just relax.
Regards:

Baby might be engaged today but might not be by tomorrow. There is still enough room for baby to move around for a few weeks yet.

It could be, but that is ok. The baby is just getting ready for delivery. I had severe pain in the last 8 weeks of pregnancy. My doctor said everything was ok. I wish you lots of luck with everything. If you feel that something may be wrong then follow your hunches and talk to you doctor about it. Good Luck and Congratulations!

No, it's not too early, especially if it's your first baby, the baby can be engaged for weeks and weeks before labour. x

2nd pregnancy are different from first b/c with ur 1st preg when the baby engages thats it, but when its your 2nd/3rd etc the baby can go up & down all the time, it doesnt mean that youl go into labour early.
