Have her take a home pregnancy test. They sell them at every Walmart, Meier, drugstore, etc... They are about 99% accurate from the first day of a missed period.

In addition, you can't get pregnant 2 1/2 days before a period. You only ovulate once a month (generally 14 days after the first day of your period) and the egg only lives 12-24 hours. No egg to fertilize, no baby. The average monthly cycle is 28 days so assuming your girlfriend had normal periods there could be no way she'd be pregnant from that incidence. It would have to be from sex earlier in the month.

Everytime you have unprotected sex, you risk pregnancy (not to mention diseases). There is no "safe" time and every unprotected bout of intercourse carries a 20-30% chance of pregnancy. Very few women fit the 28-day average cycle and it's hard to predict exactly when ovulation will occur. Even in a woman who has regular periods this doesn't mean she has regular ovulation, also in any given month (even in women who ARE 100% regular) ovulation can be affected by illness, medication, diet, weight gain/loss, stress, and any number of other factors which can cause ovulation to happen earlier or later than expected. Add into this equation the fact that sperm can live for 3-7 days inside a female body and you have a very large margin for error. Did you ever hear the old joke, what do you call people who have unprotected sex during the "safe" period of a woman's cycle? .... Parents. I conceived my son roughly three days before my period would have been due, for whatever reason I ovulated very late that month (I was on holiday in Africa so my guess is the chance of climate, diet, routine, etc had an effect) and I got pregnant. Another reason to use contraception every time is to protect against sexually transmitted diseases. Unless you've both been recently tested then you should be protecting against this as well as pregnancy. Condoms are the only form of contraception that protects against pregnancy AND disease. Remember that some sexually transmitted diseases are terminal - AIDs, Hepatitis, Syphilis (if left untreated) - and others can lead to infertility (Chlamydia). Do yourself a favour, put something on the end of it.

First, why are you having unprotected sex. If this is just a scare for you then, heed the warning. Cover it up and make sure she is on the pill.

Second, It is not too early for detection. Start with a home pregnancy test that can be found at any store. Be with her and have her use her first urine of the morning. ( I know it is sick but she will need your support) If you get a negative on that test, and are still worried, schedule an appointment with and OB/GYN. They can do a blood test and it is almost 100% accurate.

Third, Her missing her period could be from stress. Calm her down and find out if you two will have a little bundle of joy or not. Good luck!

Each female is different when it comes to ovulation. The fertile time is usally 10-12 days after your last menstrual cycle ( or is was for me). I would not think she would be pregnant from the 2 days before episode. But think back about 1-1/2 weeks before that? Were you being "cocky" again and chose not to think of you or your girlfriend and be stupid enough to not use a condom then? The latter part of your question dealing with stress is this, stress plays havoc with the body. Why do you think if you were in a life or death situation, the A·dren·al·in kicks in if we were to fight or flight for our life? UMMM??? Mind over matter.. the mind wins everytime. If your g/f isn't pregnant this time.. wake up.. and pay heed, because if you don't use protection you will be parents.

No, it is fine to take a test now and it should be accurate. Women ovulate at different times, so she could be pregnant even if it was 2 days before period. I got pregnant the day before my period was due! Just call a free clinic in your area and set up an appointment. They will walk you through the beginning steps and gt her started with insurance (if needed), vitamins, check up schedule and such. Even if it's not what you planned, PLEASE do not abort. So many loving couples want babies and can not concieve. I am sure the clinic could even start an adoption process and some couples will even do open adoption so you two could see your child. Please think about it. Good Luck!

I applaud you seeking for answers. I also understand the fear you are feeling. The route I would go is the planned parenthood route. You will receive answers on this that you may want to heed and others you won't. Make a wise choice is all I can say and do it together. If she is pregnant, you two need to decide what it is that you are going to do and I think it is right and wise to involve your parents (both of you). If you are not pregnant, and are willing to continually risking this outcome by having sex, pretected or not, be prepared for anything that comes.

As a man, be very sensitive to your girlfirends feelings and as nervous as YOU are know that her level of emotion is multiplied by at least 10x. Be a man and realize that you were willing to do things that could lead this way and you need to walk up to any responsibility and outcome this can produce. Good luck and God bless!

Its not to early to buy a test, if you can't afford one go to planned parenthood they can help.
Normally however, your most likely to become pregnant around 14 days from your previous period.
Also, simply stress can alter her cycle especailly if she has it in her head, alot of pregnancy systoms are the same as right before you start you period so your best bet is to take a test instead of stressing out over it. if it comes out negative and she still does not start in a week take another one and go to the dr. there are other things that could be wrong.

Take a test. It's not too early! Stress can cause fluctuations in menstrual cycle, but it's better to take the test. You can also take her in to a doctor to get a more accurate test. Since she's 18, her parents wouldn't have to know.

A home pregnancy test would work now, why havent you bothered to look at the box in the store... You could have known for weeks now. If you don't want kids yet, use protection. You thought you were responsible enough to have sex, so be responisible enough to deal with all the issues that come with it.

bro, the rythym method does not work. People need to stop that lie. there is no sure way to prevent it. the pill is good for most, but ask how many people got pregnant while on the pill. My hand is up two times. Stop freaking out. take the test, and remember babies are beautiful. good luck!
