Is a small dose of codimal cough syrup safe when pregnant?

MY husband has been pretty sick and now Im starting to get it too.IM 25 weeks pregnant. Ive got a bad cough and sore throat. Im not able to go to the doctor yet due to missing work. He was prescribed this cough syrup. I have seen different things on the net about it. ANybody know anything about this being safe when pregnant?

I'm not sure about the particular med you're asking about, but my doctor said the only safe cough syrup to use is Robitussin DM, but only to use as needed.

Call your doctor and ask what is safe to take.
