Ok.

Thank you everyone for the helpful answers about PCOS and pregnancy.
I went and got 3 HPTS and here's what happened:
Test 1 was done around 12pm and an extremely faint line showed up.. you could barely see it, but it was there.
Test 2 was taken around 6:45am and once again a very faint line showed up, but then after a minute.. it disappeared!
Test 3 was done around 9:30 and it showed up negative..
My husband and I were not ttc, and our boys are adopted.. so not anxious or stressed.
I am going to see my specialist on the 2nd of Jan and will be having a blood test.
I am nauseous(the smell of bacon this morning nearly sent me over the edge..lol) and my sense of smell is really strong My breasts don't ache but they feel denser. I have this nagging discomfort in the lower part of my abdomen, have an overwhelming desire to eat pears, tons of gas indigestion constipation. I also am sure that I am pregnant. Did anyone else have this problem with HPTs but knew they were?

hello i recently lost my baby born at 20 weeks due 2 infection due 2 a 19week amnio. this was on the 14th august 2006. i am now 14.5days pregnant. me and my partner are over the moon. although i had a scan at 5.1weeks and the said there was only a sac and highly suggests a non viable pregnancy however i am still pregnant my tummy is grownin. have decided that we will have no further follow up scans as the only look 4 faulse negatives. but saw midwife at 12 weeks and couldnt pick up heartbeat is this normal. i heard my first daughters heartbeat at 16weeks but hadent tryed b4 this and alysia who i just lost i heard her heart beat at 10weeks. please help.?? anybody had the same situation as me?

I have two questions: 1) I like half boiled egg (when the yolk is raw), is it safe eating it in pregnancy?
2) I work in Pakistan and in my room I have a toilet which is not a seated toilet (its very common in this country), its like a hole in the ground and one has to sit on it with all the pressure on the two feets not on the bum, is it OK in pregnancy? I am too concerned about it.

This is my second pregnancy and so far I have made it to week #12. In my first pregnancy the baby never developed and was lost around week 6. I have already been to the doctor and had 4 ultrasounds done, each of which being promising showing a growing fetus and a heartbeat but I still can't help but wonder if something is going to go wrong. I don't know if it's because I am not showing and I can't feel kicks because it's too soon or if something maybe occurring. Does anyone else have feelings like this?

hi just another quick question... i was wondering if ladies at 16 weeks or when they where 16 weeks got this really uncomfortable thing underneath they belly? when they would bend over ot just sit up?

it's not pain full, but when i bend down it really feels wired!!

what could this be??

I am about 17 weeks preg & my cousin's half sister just had a baby and she had to have a c-section because she did not fully dilate (even after they administered meds to help). I am curious as to what known reasons, if any, women do not fully dilate. I hope that that doesn't happen to me when it is my time to deliver my bundle of joy! Thanks for your answers!

I am 100% effaced on the outside, 75 on inside.. Cervix is completely soft. Contractions are 2-3 minutes apart.

I am 39 weeks and I went to the doctor yesterday and was not dialated. My cervix is very posterior but he "scraped" me the best he could. My stomach hurt down low but I dont know if it is just from where he roughly checked me. This morning I got up and used the restroom and had blood tinged discharge in my underwear. Could this be the start of my mucus plug or just blood from him checking me? This is my second baby, my first was 9pds and 6 ounces 22 inches long. So I was hoping to go early with this one even though they said she will be petite. She weighed 6pd 5ounces 2 weeks ago in the ultra sound. Please help and let me know what it sounds like to you. I have seen many movies(Gone With the Wind, Crossroads) and TV shows (Desperate Housewives) that show pregnant women (sometime in their first trimester) fall down stairs and loose their babies. Could this really happen? How?

Ladies how long after you take your pill can you start having sex? Heres the scenerio, my girlfriend had her period on the 9th or tenth and started taking the pill (Yazmin) on the 15th Like a day or two after her period. Its her first time taking pills cause its our first time having sex. We got married the 22nd and had unprotected sex the 24 i believe. Does this matter? She took the pills on the 15th and we didnt have unprotected sex till the 24 so did they have an effect or was she suppose to wait some time? Some say you need to have like a month of taking the pill before having sex others a week and others a day.! im confused and scared actually! i dont want children right now. HELP PLZ? Remeber we only had unprotected sex 1 time and have been using protection before and after that. But im still a little nervous. Plz help. Apreciate it!

I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I have a feeling it is a boy for some reason. I really don't care what sex the baby is as long as he or she is healthy. But the truth is if I could choose the sex it would be a girl, but I have a feeling its going to be a boy. I will be happy no matter what though!!

I went to the doc today I'm a few days shy of 37 weeks. I'm 2 cm dilated, 90%effaced, and he said my baby is at station 0. I just didnt understand what the station zero meant. I tried asking but he was in a hurry he had to go deliver a baby (yeah like thats more important, haha j/k). All he said was she's low and in position.

Techinically, it's only the woman who is pregnant so there's no 'we' in the pregnancy equation.
So why do couples call me up and say "we're pregnant"....I hate that...I work at a baby clothing store and I get that line all the time...
To whoever says that
I hope your baby turns into a cannibal while still in your womb and tears you up from the inside.
