Pregnancy - October 2006

I'm 37 weeks pregnant with twins and after my growth scan yesterday showed decent to large twins, my dr. stripped my membranes in an attempt to start labor. I have a high pain tolerance and have felt some contractions but nothing major and not enough to go to L&D, but i've been having rather bad nausea that started about an hour after the stripping. I was just wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this and if theres anything I can do to stop it. I didn't sleep at all last night between cramping and upset stomach so any help would be greatly appreciated.

well hi i have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 months with my boyfriend of 8 months we have been threw alot when we met i was pregnant and then we decided we wanted to have a family the right way and together so we had an abortion i feel very bad it has been 5 months since the abortion but i am trying to get pregnant and all my periodes have gone back to normal but in october i had a werid one i was 6 days late then i only spotted for 3 days and it was orange then it started to get very heavey and the whole period lasted for 9 days total what could this be and their are always on time and not like that and what is the perect time of the month to get pregnant the last time i got pregant exsactly 14 days but i dont know if its the same so help me out me and him wanna have a family we both . but please dont judge me b/c i got an abortion it wasn't his baby i met him after i was pregnant and we started dating and ect but now we wanna have one so bad. please help.

I know it's normal, but I'm 18 wks pregnant and more forgetful than usual. My friend who has one child scared me by saying that this doesn't go away even after the child is born. Is that true? Also, what kind of supplements could I take during and after pregnancy to help with this?

It's not constant drip but it happens a few times a day mostly after I have made a trip to the bathroom. I have an appointment monday but until then I was curious if there was a way to tell at home, I have heard that amniotic fluid smells sweet, so how do you compare that to urine smell? I'm 19 weeks tomorrow, thanks

i am so sleepy all the time. i try to get sleep at night but i have two small children. ages 22 months and 3 years old so i really can't sleep during the day until they have a nap, i am 6 weeks pregnant so caffiene is a no no. so what do i do to stay awake. i try not to sit still and take my children to the park and pool( i live in florida its not too cold for that here.) i try walking and playing with them but its like i am dragging my feet. what do i do to stay awake and not be so tired. and when does the sleepiness stop? i was not this tired when i was pregnant with my other two. i am only 23 and a full time mom. my husband works and i have been home with my children since my first one was born. please help what do i do to not be so sleepy?

The baby only measured at 6 weeks is this common? have other people experienced this and have things worked out fine in the end. I have another scan in a weeks time im worried sick.

Just found out we're pregnant. Im soooo excited. I have an appt next Wed with a nurse to tell me the do's and donts. But in the meantime, I wanted to hear from you all what I can do, and can NOT do/eat?

These are what I know of so far:
-no sushi
-no hot tub
-no massage
-limited fish intake w/ mercury
-no medicine except for tylenol
-take prenatals
-limit caffine intake

Am I missing anything?

My husband and I recently found out that we are pregnant after 3 years of marriage. About 4 months after finding out this wonderful news, we recieved a call from his brother telling us that he had run off and gottan married. He told us that he and his new wife would be planning a LARGE wedding in the spring. They finally set a date for this large wedding to be only a week after my due date. I have now been asked by his family to talk to my doctor about doing a scheduled C-Section on a date that would make it easier for his family to visit the baby, and attend this wedding. I feel outraged that this was even asked to me, For one thing the health of my child should always come first. 2. he is already married and this wedding is all for show, and gifts. I'm just wondering what other people would do in this situation, and how you would react to your in-laws wanting this from you.

Does anyone know if its true that if you drink a lot of whole milk while pregnant your fetus will gain wieght? I went to doc for 30 week scan yesterday and baby is measuring about 32 weeks and is almost 4 pounds. They think because he is big he will come early. I want to know if drinking milk will help increase his weight for early birth?

I am finding out to day if I am getting the job I interviewed for on Tuesday. I am pretty confident I will get offered a position with the company in some capacity. I also just found out that I am pregnant, 4 weeks along. This is my 4th pregnancy, 3rd live birth if all goes well, so I will show a little earlier than usual. Should I try to hide it until the "probation period" at the new job has passed, or be upfront about it?

my mom said she didn;t even want to talk to me about it and was worried that we were making a mistake. I told her that even though we are not rich our kids have never been without the necessities of life, and a third would not change that. She made me cry and doubt myself, how can I get thru this 9 months without letting her affect me like that?

Yesterday I went to the doctor.....and was told that she was gonna do another ultrasound......I was excited to see my baby again! She said everything was looking fine and growing normally. She also said that she looks to be about 4lbs right now and I am 32 weeks.......this is my first so not to sure about all this....but since she is only 4lbs now will she end up being a big baby or a small baby?

Did you go to a birthing or lamaze class when you were pregnant? Did you find it to be helpful or just plain dumb and a waste of time? I went to a lamaze class, and it was totally useless in the end, as I had a C-section.
