I just did something at work and my back was aching the whole time. It wasn't strenuous or anything - but my back aches. Is this normal this early on or am I just out of shape?

I am also 6 weeks! This past week I am having a lot of pains in my lower back too. I asked my sister (mom of 2) and she said it was perfectly normal. Congrats and I hope you have a very healthy pregnancy!

No actually you shouldnt. You might be getting back pain because you are tense. Only six weeks along your baby is about the size of a ladybug. Try drinking more water. Salt is your enemy when your pregnant. You can alternate hot and cold packs on the back to loosen your back up.

It can be normal but you may want to check with your dr anyway. Your uterus is already enlarged and can put pressure on your siatic nerve causing back pain. I've been suffering with it since I was 6 weeks too

I woud assume it could be normal. Are you small build? People also have early back pain when they are expecting twins. Get a pregnancy back support, they help alot with back pain.

No not yet. Later on in pregnancy you experience back pain due to the pressure and weight of your baby.

You may not be drinking enough water.

My back pains started at around 6 months gestational age. Go to your doctor and ask him about it; everyone's pregnancy symptoms are different, and only he/she can tell you if that's normal for you or not.

No, your back pain is not caused by you being pregnant. Your baby is so tiny, he/she isn't causing any sort of pressure. It's probably something else that you did.
