Lead a normal life without much mental stress, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, avoid aerated and other drinks, drink plenty of milk, walk regularly for at least half an hour. Relax and meditate for at least ten minutes. To avoid leg pain you can soak your legs in lukewarm salt water before going to bed. This will give you good sleep also. Avoid eating too much of fat items like icecream, diary products and non-veg. In stead you can eat dry fruits, apple, pappaya. Check on your BP. Daily drink carrot juice. Thrice a week drink herbal juice of mint, corriander leaves and eat spinach. Two spoons of sprouted cereals is also good.
Mentally Visualize every day that you will have a trouble-free delivery and a healthy child, who would bring cheer and happiness. Dictate this to your sub-conscious mind while meditating. This mental make up pays you a lot - believe me - it has worked out for me. So this tip.
Wishing you all the very best for a smooth delivery and a Great Motherhood.
Bye
Avoid non-veg.

don't sleep on your stomache. When you are really big, don't sleep on your back either (the weight of the baby/uterus) can hurt your back. Use a pillow between your needs and become a side sleeper.
do gentle exercise-- like walking and swimming. Your doctor can go into more detail.
Avoid strong fumes--paint, bleach, ammonia. Use gentler cleaners in a ventilated area
Eat healthy--lots of fruit, veggies, and calcium-rich food. Make sure you get enough iron in your diet too
No alcohol or smoking (or secondhand smoke)
Don't lift anything that is really heavy--don't strain yourself, ask for help. I would put a limit at 20 lbs personally
Go to your doctors appointments and learn as much as you can
No rollercoasters or other dangerous activities
Put your seatbelt below your belly. Protect your belly as much as possible--its holding a tiny unborn baby.
Ignore all pregnancy superstitions and advice that doesn't sound right (you don't have to do everything your mother or mother-in-law tells you)

Sounds lie you ahve really sone your homework. You can's also eat anything that is unpasturized...like cheeses or milk...no smoking or drinking either. I was told to watch the friut intake also on certain fruits as they contained a lot of natural sugars. You can have a massage as long as the person is giving it is aware that you are pregnant...the have special prenatal massages. Good luck

I don't think no massage is on the list. You just need to make the massuse aware you are pregnant. You also want to avoid chemicals as much as possible, but if you need to use them be sure to vent well with fresh air. I also believe no fish with mercury rather than limited. Of course medicine perscribed by your doc would be acceptable. My feeling of do's and don'ts...Do what is comfortable and don't stop living just because you are pregnant. Your body is made to protect your baby, trust it to do its job.

Well i'm be honest with you. I have a 1 year old daughter and when i was pregnant i ate everything. You should take your vitemins but mine made me feel sick so i stop taking mine and ate a lot of fruits. My child came out still very healthy. My best advice is eat a lot of fruts and enjoy your prgnancy because i kind of miss mine. Also take a few parenting classes thay are pretty fun. Carry crackers and juices in your bag lol, because you will get hungry.

Stay away from paint, poor ventilation. No hair color until the second trimester. Stay away from people that are smokers. No alcohol. Get a lot of Extra sleep, growing a baby is a lot of work on your body. Dont do any heavy lifting.
Congratulations!

Of course no smoking, alcohol, or drugs. Avoid stress. Soft cheese is another one they say to avoid. Eat healthy and stay active NOW, and you'll have a much easier time getting back to your old self after having the baby.

Sounds like you've been doing your research!!! Congrats to you!!! I would avoid strenuous exercise until your doc gives you the go ahead. THey say that you can exercise during pregnancy, but you really should be careful. Also, avoid any strong fumes, ie. paint and such. NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS!!! But, Im sure you arnt doing that anyway!
Here's a good webiste: babyfit.com, and babycenter.com

i didn't change my life when i found out i was pregnant. i mean i just made sure to try and eat healthier and exercise. i mean, it's not like i was handicapped. i still did the normal things i've always done besides lifting extremely heavy objects. however, there are certain medicines you can and can not take but your doctor should give you that list.
