My friend and I were having a discussion about baby names, he was saying if you name a kid Bubba he is destined to be a football player. I pointed out the fact that plenty of people named Angel aren’t so angelic. So what do you guys think? If you name you kid something that means “flighty” does that mean they are destined to be such?

My boyfriend and I are expecting our first baby together in early May (he has a daughter and i've got two). My mother and sister are not too fond of him (for a bunch of silly reasons- stubborness is a big factor here) but I don't want to continue leaving them out of the loop so to speak. I don't want to tell them this news that has me on cloud nine and then have them react negatively which will start a whole lot of b.s. that I really don't need to be stressing about right about now. How do I share my news and make it clear that any negativity will not be tolerated?? I'm going to start showing soon and my sister and I work in the same office!! Help...!!!

I usually have a very consistent period always exactly 22 days. my last period was the 7 of sept and then the 29 of september my next period was due on October 21, it hasnt come yet. I took 2 home pregnancy test that test up to 5 days before missed period and both times the test came out positive. I went to a place which is not really a clinic its like a pregnancy counceling place, well I went there b/c the testing is free and I took a test it came negative and so they retested and it was negative again. Im not sure if maybe the test at the counceling center was not sensitve enough or if the home tests were incorrect. me and my husband are desperately trying to get pregnant. I called a doctors office and theysaid i should wait a week after my period was expected to take the test and and to take it in the morning. So did I test to soon or what do you think..? I also have menstrual like cramping from time to time and i feel like my period is coming, my breast r not tender anymore also.

I'll be 22 next week and my to-be husband would like me to start trying to get pregnant sometime next year. If I get pregnant this summer, I wouldn't give birth until I was 23. I think sometimes that I will be too young; however, I have a steady job & income. I'll be finished with school in May, or at least degreed. My husband is 26, will be 27 by the time I give birth. We are financially stable & have a living situation to accomodate a child.

Any thoughts on the situation would be welcomed.

At my ultrasound when I was 7 weeks 2 days I was told I had a bicornuate uterus... which means my uterus never fully developed. It's like heart shaped rather than the upside down triange shape... I was also told it was really rather common... they don't know an exact percentage because most women go through pregnancies and find out way later...

There is a risk of early birth, but more of a risk of breech presentation, meaning I would need a c-section.

I guess what I am wondering is does anyone else have this or hear any stories personally? I've read a bunch of online stories, and it seems most need c-sections but deliver at normal time. Thanks for any input.

*In case anyone is wondering I am 15 weeks 3 days now.

I had a missed miscarriage. Doctor talked me into D&C. She punctured my uterine wall during the procedure so she couldn't finish. This doctor said the hole was very tiny and should heal on it's own but I'm still pregnant. And I have to wait two to three weeks to either miscarry naturally or take medicine to expel the abnormal fetus. I am so upset. Has this happened to anyone? Did you have a baby after? Should I sue? She was in a hurry (was hour late for appointment and had to pick up her kids). She admitted to puncturing it because she said that my cervix was so tightly closed. I'm still confused. Getting a second opinion tomorrow with another doctor, but I just want to know what happened with other women in the same predicament. Please help!

My period was a day late and at first I thought it was going to be a normal period, so I used a tampon and then about 5 hours later I tried to take it out and it was hard to take out because it was only about halfway used! I spotted for the rest of the day and today (the second day of my "period") there is practically NOTHING, just one or two teeny tiny spots on the pantiliner. I took a HPT the day before all this started and it said negative. What's going on??

I wanted to hear some stories about your trips to the hospital to deliver a baby. With my first kid, my water had broken and my hubbys dad was driving me and alex, my husband, to the hospital. He was so nervous that he accidetally ran 3 red lights. I was in loads of pain and right in the middle of a contraction, I see flashing lights and a siren behind us. The police officer thought I was joking. My husband told him " She is having a baby and nude flu let to there jopliyter" He was so worried he couldn't even talk. I started cracking up, so he thought I was faking it. Then he believed me when a huge gush of fluid came out. He was going to let us go, but the car didn't start. The only way to get to the hospital was in the police car. By the time we got there, I could feel the head coming down.
alex's dad and the officer caried the front of me and alex was walking backwards holding up my legs. When we got into the hospital, the baby was halfway out. I delivered in the waiting room!

I am expecting my first child in February... Considering going the natural route... What are your thoughts on this? Is the pain extreme? Is an epidural going to be my best bet?

Hello to all moms and moms to be, I just have a question, I have an appointment tomorrow but I can't wait until tomorrow to ask the doctor this question so I was wondering if any of you have experienced this, Is it normal to feel the baby on just one side of my belly? I feel lots of movement on my lower abdomen and on the right side of my belly just above my belly button. This is my first pregnancy and I was just wondering if it is normal for baby to stay on one side of my body. I am 25 weeks and 2 days. Thank you all!!

Anyway, just wanted to know how many of you actually waited the full 6 weeks?

Hello everyone. I am 14 weeks pregnant and still cannot shake this morning sickness. Its to the point where im really starting to believe that I do not like food AT All and can't see myself eating without throwing up. I have lost 9 lbs since the start of my pregnancy. My doctor said the next time he sees me I should have gained about 4 lbs, which is a lb and week and I really can't see that happening with the way things have been going for me. I drink alot of milk and water to try and keep myself hydrated, but find myself throwing up sometimes up to 3 times a day. I cant see how this wont hurt the baby. When i am able to eat, its a very small amount. I feel like im starving him/her...Any solutions? Ive tried the dry toast and crackers...and nothing =( This has made me more depressed than anything and everyone just keeps telling me to enjoy my pregnancy, but its really hard to when i feel this way.

I am pregnant with my second child, and only 8 weeks along. I've heard the belly gets bigger faster after the first but this is crazy! I really don't think I'm further along than 8 weeks because I was taking prego tests like crazy for months before. Do you have any thoughts?

I found a neat idea on the internet where some women had ordered a personalized fortune cookie and then took their husbands' to their favorite Chinese restaurant and had the waiter bring out the personalized cookie at the end. I thought this was a cute idea! Now I just need a creative message to have them put in my husbands cookie! Thanks in advance for your ideas :)

My daily routine every morning is brushing my teeth (of course!), flossing, and using ACT mouth rinse. Lately, I've been using the ACT with Reach. I noticed today that it has 11% alcohol. Is this going to be safe to use when pregnant? I'm TTC now, so want to know if I should definately go back to the non-alcohol version of ACT. Thanks!

My mum has decided she wants to come down to me a couple of days before the birth and stay till after. we have never been really close and she lives quite far away (150 miles). My cousin has just given birth and my auntie was there the whole time. This is why I think she wants to come down, so it looks good. She was down a few weeks ago for 4 days and exausted me completely, i was ready for a holiday when she left. I know i may sound a bit mean, she is my mum and I do love her, but I reallywanted a quiet 2 weeks after the birth for my partner and myself to bond with our first baby. I don't mind one day of visits by family from both sides, but thats it for 2 weeks. My question is do u think Im feeling this coz of mad pregnancy hormones and how do i tell my mum I would rather she didn't come down then? Should I just let her come down and live with it? I don't want to upset anyone and maybe im over reacting???
