14 pounds total, or just this month? Typically you should aim at 20 - 30 lbs total weight gain over your whole pregnancy, with basically no gain in the first 2-3 months. If you were a little heavy before your pregnancy, aim for the lower end of the range. You only need an extra 300 calories per day to support your growing baby, which is only the equivalent of adding one doughnut to your usual diet- it's hardly noticeable. Breastfeeding is when you'll use up lots of extra calories (about 600 per day- it's great for weightloss!)

I gained alot of weight in the begining like every fourth week check up i had gained 16 lbs 17lbs and then 13lbs all by the time I was 6 months my doctor out me on a no junk diet and I had to watch what I ate.I am now 36 weeks and since the 30 weeks I have only gained 6lbs. It is not good but it is not that bad they worry about your blood pressure and the baby heart rate and i heard labor is a little harder the bigger you are and if you are not active as well. everybody is different enjoy your pregnant body and don't stop eating to maintain a good weight I say eat when your hungry just don't overeat and NO candy bars. I wish you the best of luck your tummy should start to grow alot bigger now that you are in your sixth month.take care and congrats.

I asked my wife to see what she thought. She called her doctor. I don't know if that was necessary, but anyway, the Dr. said 15 to 23 pounds is healthy, and where the weight should be at the beginning of the sixth month!!

there is not any longer some thing incorrect with excercise once you're pregnant and regardless of in case you probably did not understand you've been pregnant. sounds like you're ingesting so that's nice too. i imagine the in hardship-free words aspect you may want to might want to be in touch about is in case you've been taking any OTC weight relief plan pills, i might want to alert them to that and basically tell them you had no concept you've been pregnant. look at it this way, that's 14 pounds you gained't ought to lose after the baby is born.
