My daughter has three children (8, 4 and 18 mos) and she had this problem with all three of them. She made frequent visits to her doctors office -- and a few times to the emergency room to be rehydrated (IV fluids). All physical illnesses were ruled out (diabetes, blood pressure, etc) -- she just had morning sickness for the first 4.5 months of her pregnancy --- and she was miserable to say the least. Whatever went down made a "U" turn and returned.
Flat gingerale -- (room temp and sipped slowly) can help calm the tummy sometimes.
By following a few proven guidelines, you are likely to gain significant relief from nausea and vomiting. Home treatment measures for morning sickness include:
Changing what, when, and how much you eat.
Taking ginger, vitamin B6, or vitamin B12, which are known to reduce nausea and/or vomiting during pregnancy.
Avoiding foods and smells that make you feel sick.
All three of my grandchildren were born healthy and my daughter had no problems during delivery.
Keep checking with your doctor -- you and your baby will be fine.

you could try saltine crackers and orange juice or sprite as a starter to help settle your stomach. And potatoes also are supposed to be easy to eat. As far as the baby goes the baby is fine you do need to give your body nutrition but the baby will still continue to get nutrients from your body. Things should get a little better but it is important to talk with your doctor..congrats on the new additon!!

Trust me baby will take what it needs first, you actually are the last to get the nutrition! Many women, mostly overweight, are encouraged to watch what they eat and do loose weight during pregnancy. But if your doctor says you should gain then that's maybe what you should aim for. But, if he really feels there is a problem then he'll deal with it the way he deems necessary.

Tell your Dr. and have him/her give you some medicine to help. It can't be good that you're not eating and throwing up so much. Personally I found if I kept a small amount of food in my stomach, that my nausea wasn't as bad. I know you don't feel like eating, but try that. You can also try ginger candy. Good luck, if your Dr. won't help, find a new one!

Your poor thing!! This is something that worked for me. Take some crushed ice and put it in a glass. Feel it with Orange Juice and then put a tsp. of salt. I know it sounds gross but it really helps the morning sickness. After you do that try to eat something really bland without spices or seasonings. You will definitely be in my prayers! Good Luck and God Bless!

well for starters, try eating really light meals, like salads and dry fruits, then slowly start eating nutritious meals in very small portions- stay away from deep fried foods and junk food. drink plenty of water and try drinking peppermint tea to sooth ur stomach, u can also try drinking really cold lemonade for the nausea. good luck and try to see a dietitian at ur dr's office if he has one in his staff and read books and educate ur self on a good balanced diet for pregnancy.

Is your dr. aware of how many times you are throwing up during the day and how you feel about eating?
There are some medications you can take to help you get through this stage.
Sorry I can't be mroe help.

eat small snacks.. frequently.. hold down what you can. As long as you are holding down somethings you should be ok.. when you dont keep down anything at all.. thats when you should let the doc know. They can give you something for the sickness
