I think I may be feeling baby move, very infrequently, which is making me feel as though my dates are off, i am going to tthe doctor on tuesday for a dating ultrasound. Anyways, i just had an orgasm an hour ago, and right afterwards i felt just a flurry of movement, did that happen to you when you orgasm, does baby move more, or am i going insane?

some people say that the baby doesnt move afterwards because of it being rocked to sleep. However, I am 39 weeks and mine movies like a crazy monkey after every time. You may be further along than you think. Unless you are really small most of the time you wont feel even flutters until you are around 18 weeks or so. I personally felt mine for the first time at 20 weeks, and they gradually got harder. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope that everything works out well for you!

Yes babies feel it when you orgasm, but not in the way you think. Imagine if you lived in a bubble of water and then felt an earthquake. (thats how my ob/gyn discribed it) They get jiggled around a bit and that can cause them to move. Also, depending on how far along you are just because you don't feel it doesn't mean the baby isn't moving. As you get further along and the movements become a bit stronger (due to lack of space) and more predictable (after a meal or when you play music) it is very importent to mention to your ob/gyn if you begin to notice less movement.

Yes, that can happen sometimes.
Also, all the rocking motion during intercourse can lull baby to sleep so then they may wake up soon afterwards and be active.

You get excited, baby gets excited. You get sad, baby gets sad. You sleep, well I don't know about baby sleeping. But baby will feel your emotions and act accordingly. I loved the flutter feeling and you better enjoy it now cause it won't last long. :O)
