I wanted to hear some stories about your trips to the hospital to deliver a baby. With my first kid, my water had broken and my hubbys dad was driving me and alex, my husband, to the hospital. He was so nervous that he accidetally ran 3 red lights. I was in loads of pain and right in the middle of a contraction, I see flashing lights and a siren behind us. The police officer thought I was joking. My husband told him " She is having a baby and nude flu let to there jopliyter" He was so worried he couldn't even talk. I started cracking up, so he thought I was faking it. Then he believed me when a huge gush of fluid came out. He was going to let us go, but the car didn't start. The only way to get to the hospital was in the police car. By the time we got there, I could feel the head coming down.
alex's dad and the officer caried the front of me and alex was walking backwards holding up my legs. When we got into the hospital, the baby was halfway out. I delivered in the waiting room!

Mine isn't that exciting.

I did most of my laboring at home. Called the Dr when my contractions where 5 min apart lasting a 1 min. He said go into the hospital and see if you are actually in labor. We drove to the hospital, parked into the garage, walked about a block to the hospital. Walked into labor and delivery. They put me in a room and couldn't believe it when they checked me my bag of waters was hanging out of the cervix and I was ten and ready to push. I was 17 and they said usually the young ones are carrying on by then. Three pushes later my son was born.

I've got a story about the day I was born...my mother knew my birth was immenent and asked the nurse to get the doctor. The nurse told her it wasn't time yet to relax and she walked out. My father was in there and she sent my father out "Go get someone the baby is coming." The nurse comes back in as I make my entrance, no one catches me and I bonk my newborn head on the floor--umbilical cord still attached!!! Guess I invented bungee jumping back in 1973!! LOL
Mom said she would've sued them had I been "affected" in any way but she says I blew it by being the smartest out of her 4 kids!!!

I don't know if it's funny. I was 20. Went to the hospital...they sent me and my beau home (?). I got home, had baby on kitchen floor delivered by 2 firefighters on Halloween.
