At my ultrasound when I was 7 weeks 2 days I was told I had a bicornuate uterus... which means my uterus never fully developed. It's like heart shaped rather than the upside down triange shape... I was also told it was really rather common... they don't know an exact percentage because most women go through pregnancies and find out way later...

There is a risk of early birth, but more of a risk of breech presentation, meaning I would need a c-section.

I guess what I am wondering is does anyone else have this or hear any stories personally? I've read a bunch of online stories, and it seems most need c-sections but deliver at normal time. Thanks for any input.

*In case anyone is wondering I am 15 weeks 3 days now.

My sister has the same thing. She did deliver a little early, but her baby was 7 lbs. and very healthy. She delivered vaginally and there were no other complications. My niece is 18 months old now and perfectly healthy and my sister is pregnant with her second. Congratulations and Good Luck!

I never heard of it, but you sure are doing the right thing of following your dr's advice, that way you will get the proper care and attention you need so that everything goes fine. Just lloks like you are gonna deliver thru c-section...but there's nothing wrong with it. Good luck honey and take care of yourself.
