What's the weirdest name you've ever heard (someone you actually knew and met in real life)?

Does anyone find it a little cowardly that someone would ask a question about a hot button issue like abortion and then delete the question because she was unhappy that the answers weren't following her views? (Mar feel free to answer this since it was your question)

Our whole family is so exhausted I'm not sure what we should do. My daughter 25 months old is (was) potty training and then broke her arm. Her schedule is way out of wack so tired and cranky. My husband has hurt his ankle and can't sleep at night and during the day he is working over time at a stressful job. And for myself I'm 30 weeks pregnant with sciatica. Trying to keep the house clean everyone fed and happy. We are all so tired it not making for a very happy household. Any suggestions.

Why do some people think pro-choice is the same as pro-abortion?

I would never tell someone to get an abortion. I don't agree with abortions but I'm not going to make it so that another person cannot get an abortion.

Why is it up to pro-lifers to decide what people do with their body, baby, or anything else?

I’m not meaning to offend. I seriously want an mature explanation to both of my questions if possible. Please keep this respectful!

Why don't more stay at home parents homeschool their children? I mean the first arguement people give me is "kids need socialization." And what makes homeschooled kids "unsocialized"? I mean *some* might be that way but don't people realize there are more places to make friends than school like homeschooling groups, youth groups, sports, kids around the neighborhood, play groups, ect? So why don't more stay at home parents (or any parents for that matter) do it?

My friend has 5 kids. Her kids range from 19 to 11. Do you think that these kids are too close or too far in age. And, also is it strange to your boys as the oldest and the youngest and the girls in the middle.

I don't normally wade into debates like this, at least, I don't start them, but this is really getting on my wick. Would all the people saying 'abortion is murder' please stop? Because the law is determined by parliament and the judiciary, not by individual morality. Abortion is not legally considered murder, therefore that is not the correct term for it. Whether you're for or against. Thanks for that.

I went for my first scan on monday, sadly there was no heartbeat, the ultrasound measured 8 weeks (I should have been 9 + 3) the Dr offered me 2 options, a D & C or to go home and wait for myself to miscarry naturally I chose to miscarry naturally, but im not sure what to expect I started with mild cramps about 4 hours ago, is this it? Has anyone been in a similar situation as me? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I knew a single mom that went to school and sent her son to daycare and the government covered the cost as long as she was going to school or had a full time job. She sometimes only paid $10 a month.

I told several people the probable dates for my baby shower and I let them know to watch for the invitations. I didn't ask anyone what day is best for them because I know I can't accomodate everyone. I had several people reply to my email and tell me that they aren't available on certain days. Unfortunately I can't take that into consideration because I had to choose the day that was best for the grandparents and the hostess. I totally understand if someone can't make it but think it's rude for them to try to tell me what date to have it. Then after the date is set a couple of people asked if they should bring their husbands. Well the husband's name was not on the invite and if they look at the guest list on the website they can see it's ladies only. Am I the only one with difficult friends or maybe I'm just too grouchy? I just think that everyone should politely decline or politely accept. :)

From those of you who chose to smoke, why? I have some friends who smoked their whole pregnancy and they are very unapologetic about it, even though one of them thinks her son has had problems as a result of it. Why choose to smoke when research shows it's so bad for babies? I've known a lot of people who quit when they got pregnant, or even when they were just trying to get pregnant. And for those of you who smoke in front of your kids, why do you do it, knowing the health risks you are causing your children? I'm not trying to judge, I'm just really curious as to why you make those choices. I've asked my one friend why she smoked while pregnant and why she smokes around her kid (he always smells of cigarettes) but she says she just doesn't have an answer. And I know she absolutely loves her son so I'm not questionong that at all.
