No. You can have a wonderful pregnancy at any weight. I've delivered babies to women who weighed 100 pounds prepregnancy and had complications, and I've delivered babies to 350 pound moms with no difficulty whatsoever.

You should try to be in fairly good shape, and that may mean losing weight. Pushing a baby out is really hard work for anyone at any weight.

Very obese women who had c-sections do tend to be more prone to infection due to the fold of belly skin. Just requires a little more care post partum, and unfortunately most doctors don't want to offend anyone.

I don't think so...when I was pregnant, I had gained quite a bit of weight and was asking if it was normal, my doctor told me that because I was smaller, I'd put on a lot of weight, but if I was a little heavier set, i wouldn't gain as much. I don't think there's such a thing as being "too big" to get pregnant...but there are definetly risks...but then again there's risks with anything. There's a chance you could have high-blood pressure, diabetes...etc...but as long as you keep up with the doctor's visits, and eat healthy..a normal healthy pregnancy can definetly happen...

To be on the safe side, you should contact a Gyno, and ask about it...they'd be able to tell you everything you want to know, and what you can do to stay healthy during a pregnancy.

There is no "magic number" but it is possible to be too big to get pregnant. Your fingers are not too fat to type so you are not there honey. Ideally, women should have a little meat on their bones, but not too much. As the proud bearer of too much (too much weight and TWO much baby boys), you can get pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy but if your are thinking about getting pregnant, now is a great time to talk with your doctor and getting your body healthy (note: NOT NECESARILY THIN, just healthy) and ready. Women who weigh more are at a higher risk of developing complications like eclampsia, and gestational diabetes but being big does not mean you WILL have these issues.
Good luck

There is no specific weight that anyone has to be to get pregnant, and you could have a happy healthy pregnancy at any weight. your doctor will just tell you that if your over weight try not to gain as much and if you're underweight try and gain a little extra.

You can have a healthy pregnancy at any weight, as long as the baby is healthy. I knew someone who weighted 320 and became pregnant with twins. She had a very healthy pregnanacy, didnt gain hardly no weight, and had 2 healthy girls.

Like a person said before. If you are overweight it might be
more difficult getting pregnant. Wish you luck.
