does anyone knoe about fenugreek..is it safe..what are the affects..will it work..i heard its suppose to help increase yur milk supply..

since a few days after she was born she has had oral thrush. my health visitor says this is very common in breast fed babies. i have been back and forth to the doctors and used the prescriptions they have given and it still hasnt cleared. anyone had similr experience?how long will it take to clear?

Please be precise, I only need the schedule..no advice.
I also understand that each child is different and that sometimes schedules do not work... I just need to see what other moms do.

For example:
7am 5oz formula
11am Potatoes (2nd foods)
1pm 4oz formula
4pm Banana pudding
... and so on.

Alittle back story; On Friday we started giving him whole milk instead of formula (he turns 1 in a couple of days) He's been eating solid food pretty well for the past month, with only 3 bottles in between. (which is pretty good for him b/c before he wouldn't eat any solids, and drank WAAAAY too many bottle to be so old) Anyway, he seemed to handle the milk well. No diahrrea, no gas, or anything.

So, yesterday he started screaming at about 2 o'clock and wouldn't stop. I tried everything. He wouldn't eat lunch, dinner, or any snacks. Maybe a few cheerios here and there, but nothing you could actually call a whole snack. Anyway, he went to sleep at 8:30! Which is weird for him, because he usually doesn't go to bed until 10. Not to mention he just passed out in my lap, usually I have to bounce him to sleep drinking a bottle. Then he slept until 10:30 this morning!! (usually he wakes up at 8) Again, he wants nothing to do with solid food, just the bottles. But he is soooo crabby. He wanted nothing other than to be held. I should say me holding him while I'm standing up and swaying back a forth. (it's very annoying) So he falls back asleep at 12:30, sleeps until 1:30, wakes up cries for another bah (bottle) and then falls asleep again at 2:00. It's almost 3 now and he's still asleep! He doesn't have a fever, no diaper rash, or anything else wrong with him that I can see. He could always be getting another tooth, but when I checked in his mouth I didn't feel any bumps.

So, I don't know what the hell is going on. If you actually took the time to read this and have any ideas, PLEASE share. I'm going out of my mind. I'm worried. I called his pediatrician, but of course that lazy ***** hasn't gotten back with me yet. Help... please.....going crazy................AHHHH

I would like to know if a 1 month old baby needs to drink water if he is on breast milk and if he is on formula does he need to drink water.If so how much and how to feed him water.i have heard from some sources and even doctors saying that just milk is enough but i still do get conflicting opinions.Please advise

I would think the majority do because of maternal instinct - but certainly not all of them. Maybe 60-70% of women like kids.

I have a little son.Now he is passing two years.He is very smart and when I say any thing for search he can do it.But He can only tell some small words like "Mam","Papa" etc.He cannot speack full word .How can I able to tell full him word ?

my baby is 5 monthes and half and he allways has the argue to make stool,even n the night he wakes up many time and crying tries to make stool,it seems v hard for him as if he has constipation while his stool is soft,he is breast feeding but he is making frequent stools up to 7 times per day,i have noticed his stool smells not good and i find sometimes mucous in it,what i do?he is not feeling comfort specially in the night,he does not sleep and me too,cos every 2 hours he wakes up crying and painful as if he has constipation then after he makes the stool,he can sleep comfort till another stool comes to disturb him again,i need opinion for my very problem with my baby,doctors told me many opinions and it is not useful

Enfamil Lipil formula. I am still using stage one nipples and am not sure if I should switch to stage two nipples. I am feeding him 5 ounces every two to two and a half hours during the day, and he is sleeping soundle from about 9pm to 4am. He eats fast, and in fact when I take the bottle away from him to burp him, he screams! Hungry little guy! Advice on the screaming and nipple size plese!

My daughter has been one of the most mellow, sweetest and smiley babies I have ever known. I didn't know babies could be so content 90% of the time.

On Friday she got her shots and since then she has been very hyper and seems to have extreme mood swings from laughing and crawling around quite happily to inconsolable. She squirms a lot more when I hold her like she doesn't want to be held. In some ways she seems more alert, but almost in a manic way.

Has anyone heard of such a thing? She seems basically healthy physically, but I'm a bit concerned.

My daughter just turned 18mos. old and she has the worst appetite. I have not seen her eat anything in the past 3 days, other than a bite of this and a bite of that. Shes probably eaten approx. 5 oz. of food in the past 3 days. And nothing with any real nutritional value. Usually, every 3rd - 5th day, she will finally be hungry enough to eat, some. On those rare days, I can get her to eat approx. 12-15 ozs. of food. That is still no where NEAR what she should be eating. She drinks plenty of milk and I have been adding cereal to her bottles. I am at wits end. And when I ask my Dr. about it, he says "I've never seen a child starve itself. She'll eat when shes hungry"..what the hell kinda answer is that. Anyone out there have a better more logical explanation??

here is what's going on. my girl roommates with her cusin and her hole familiy live's in her area. she is now pregnet and i asked her to move in with me. she said that not till we get married and that only AFTER the baby is born. i said to her that the first six months of a baby's life should be with her bioligical parents so that the child can smell, hear, and feel his/her new parents. but my girl said that she dose not need me thier because she has her cusin's and familiy to help her with the baby! can some one please help me make sence of this. i guess to some guy's this is a blessing because now they dont need to be responsible and its all on the mom to take care of the baby. is she just thinking of her (being selffish?) or is it that she has to much pride that she is willing to sacrafice that baby to look good in front of her familiy? and if so is this the person that i would like to live with for the rest of my life?also she dose not like men to tell her what to do,its a fobia
