My baby has an appointment for Friday anway, but she seems to hate having the wax in her ear. I only clean the outer canal, not inside. Is there any safe remedy for this?

Two months ago, we reduced breastfeeding down to 4 times per day, so her milk production is much lower than it was. But, for the past few days she has had a big increase in anxiety about weaning down to 1x or 2x per day, and she suddenly was unable to have her let-down. So, our baby would try and try but hardly get any milk. This causes both of them to get stressed out and this stress seems to make it even more difficult for my wife to have her let-down.

So now, of the 4-5 times that she tries to nurse per day, she only gets a let-down 1 or 2 times. This is causing more anxiety because she has had mastitis a few times and is worried that the stagnant milk will turn into mastitis. Her first period since pregnancy was 2 wks ago.

Ideally, she would nurse 1x or 2x a day until the baby is 18 months old. But if this continues, she'll probably have to quit nursing altogether.

Our question is:
- have you ever heard of this problem for late stage breastfeeding?
- any ideas for solutions

I have studied facts about both vaccines and diseases that are supposed to be prevented by vaccines. Vaccines still don't represent immunity nor they are 100% safe. On the other hand having the disease brings permanent immunity. So.. why the hassle and why putting preservatives and germs and viruses in my baby's bloodstream if he could still get the disease whether is mild or not.
Why doctors suggests you blindly follow the vaccine schedule?
Is there a better way to protect your child and stay away from vaccines that are not 100% safe?
Is this a battle of interests?

Had this discussion with my boyfriend the other day. I think Shiloh is a beautiful name, but he said Brangelina has 'ruined it' because now everyone will think of their baby, etc etc.

Our last name is Long and i love the name Tru (girl) and Ty (boy) i am supose to have twins and would love to have the name rhyme alittle if possible but if not thats fine. But for the names Tru and Ty i couldn't come up with a middle name. Any ideals? I don't have to have the name Tru and Ty for the babies. Any other baby names would be helpfully. i have a hard time picking out first and middle names that would go with LONG.
Thanks for all your help!!!

My daughter is 2 months old, almost 3. We took her to the doctor the other day and they said she has "severe colic". Instead of it starting at around 5 or 6, she starts at around 1 in the afternoon. I've tried rocking her, bouncing her in arms/on my legs, tried the vacuum, tried a car ride, the washer, a swing, a bath, breast feeding, bottle feeding with breast milk and/or formula. The only thing that calms her down is walking around with her. But that only lasts about 10 minutes and she's screaming all over again. I'm lost, stressed and exhausted. I just want to help my little girl. Anyone have any suggestions?

My son is five months old and since he's tall and big for his age, it's getting harder to carry him in his carrier when I go shopping. He can sit up pretty well supported, so I'm sure we can start putting him in a normal car seat soon. However, I'm not sure if he would be able to sit up well in the front seat of a shopping cart. Just wondering at what age can they do this? Thanks

my mom and my mothers mom and my husband's grandmother all say a yes. my babies dr on the other hand says no. my 8 month old daughter is teething like crazy and has been running a mild fever on and off the last 3 days. so to be on the safe side we took to to the dr's yesterday and she said she was fine she must have caught a little bug. because a fever and teething have nothing to do with eachother.every few years it seems the rules change. like only put your baby to sleep on there tummys now it's only on there backs. and now your not supposta use baby powder any more. what's next? so do you think they do go hand in hand or
or you you think the new therroy is correct that they dont have any thing to do with eachother? i dont know but it is strange that most babies seem to get a fever causing bug right around teething time.

My son is doing it again...he's waking up around 2:30am and crying and thrashing in his sleep. Nursing isn't helping as he pulls off after a few minutes and continues to cry. I do not want to be used as a pacifier (bad habit), but I will not stop nursing him. Is anyone else having this issue? We have been up walking, rocking, swaddling, etc from 2-4 for the last three nights and I don't think we can take much more of this. I do NOT believe in having them cry it out though. He also refuses a bottle...
