Sounds like he may have Colic. My son had it & it was horrible. He is 7 mo now & finally over it. I took my son the the Chiropractor after 6 people recommended it to me. It worked miracles!!! After 4 treatments in 4 days he was so much better! Try to enlist all the help you can get & don't force the binkie if he doesn't want it. My daughter didn't take one so that was one less habit I had to break with her. Keep him in a calm environment & just do your best to comfort him. It'll be a tough road if it's colic, but it will pass. Take care of yourself too. He can sense your stress. I developed Post-Pardum Depression so that made it worse for me. Good luck!

He's probably colicky. My daughter is the same age and has since grown out of it. There's not much you can do. It might be gas - try an over the counter gas relief like "little tummies" or "tylenol infant drops". It could also be milk allergies or something else you won't be able to identify. Ask your doctor before doing anything.

Have you tried a swing? Some babies are comforted by the rocking motion when nothing else works. Other things to try: running the vaccuum, strapping him into his carseat and placing it on top of the washer or dryer (stay with him, lol!), or putting him in a stroller and going for a walk- if nothing else, the change of scenery will YOU some good!

Unfortunately alot of babies go through this stage. It's so common they've given it a name COLIC, there's even medication for it, called collic or gripe water.
That it works, I can't say, but this is the time you need to rely on a support group, because after an entire night of a colicky baby you tend to have illegal thoughts.
Call a friend, call mom, call the neighbour, give yourself a break he will out grow it.

My son turned five months old today. He used to be the same way but in the last month or so he out grew it. He now loves to be held and loves his binkie. Good luck and be patient.

It sounds like a touch of colic (gas), so a teaspoon or two of the dilly mint smelling gripe water should do the trick :) babies LOVE that stuff! After you have given baby the remedy, stand up and hold him leaning upright against you and gently and slowly squeeze him from the lower back upward. Wear a receiving blanket! lol

It will surely be diagnosed as colic. This is something Id like to focus on after med school because I truly believe that something g.i. related may be going on, but pediatricians aren't testing these individual children unless its a persistant and "annoying" parent. My advice? Be pushy to find an answer!

Mylecon drops are a great option. You may actually be lucky. Once he grows out of it, he will probably be the sweetest thing in the world. The more difficult babies usually are, so long as you remain calm and show patience and affection.

My daughter was born crying. After a couple of months, we gave her a homepathic teething pill. She went quiet immediately. I hope this is what's going on with your little one. It can be very stressful to have a baby crying and no idea why.
