If my daughter hasn't got 100% attention, she is v grumpy and clingy, when i try to wash the dishes, she pulls on my trousers and crys! She doesn't seem to want to play with anything for v long and gets bored v easily! Shes into everything now she is crawling but once she has reached what ever she wants, shes bored. She is quite a sensitive soul and things get to her v easily, even a cough can set her off crying sometimes. She is v weary of new people and doesn't like to be held by many people. I am a full time mum and sometimes feel I have no one to help me. I want to start going to mums and toddlers but feel v nervous as she can b very unpredictable. The only way she can go to sleep, is if she is in her own cot. This is a nightmare if we are out and about. She also makes hmmmmmm, hmmmmmmm nosies all of the time, more so when I am not giving her my full attention. The noise can be draining as its a whine sound. Any suggestions on how my little girl can be happier?

I have a 10 month old with an ear infection, she had a fever of 104. The doctor said fevers are a good thing because it kills the infection, but im having a hard time accepting that. in my opinion a fever that high is NOT good. what do you think? oh and before you tell me to give her tylenol and a cool bath, ive already done that. and i cant go to another doctor, our insurance (military) doesnt cover it.

I mean, he feeds her and bathes her and sind=gs to her, but he's not like the "super daddies" that ball their eyes out at the birth of their babies and from then on ane mush in their babies sight? I just make her feel special because I don't want his lack of sensitivity hurting her. He makes me sick, and I wish I had a sensitive man.

Should I just pack up my baby girl and leave him since being this "chuck norris" like stone of a man is more important to him than showing love to his new family. I can't get over it.Should I just leave and maybe find a sensitive man, who will be emphathetic to me and my baby?

She finally just feel asleep after 2 hours of trying to get her to take a nap. She's been cry and pulling on her ears. But the thing that makes me wonder is she stops crying when i pick her up. I gave her some baby tylenol but she would still cry more than usual. She just had 2 teeth come in last week and i think they are bothering her also. She does'nt seem to have any fever. Just crying, being fussy, and pulling on her ears. Can i put some of my ear drops in her ears to help her until i can make it to the doctors office, my husband is at work. Thanks Mothers.

Mine did not. We have a gorgeous 3 month old, and I still cry because even though I know he loves her, I watch all these shows like "the baby show" and "bringing home baby" and all the men ball their eyes out at the joy of having a new life, a new son or daughter born and healthy...or struggling to make it in the NICU. It's all a blessing of life. My man is so loving and sweet, i just wanted him to show that emotion when I was in delivery of our daughter. It has hurt me so bad, I never want to have another child with him again because I feel so unappreciated and like he just was "there". yes, I am jealous of all you whose men balled like babies in the delivery room. I wish mine did. You women are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO lucky. I cry everyday watching the baby show seeing all those big macho men cry when they see their newborns for the first time. I just want to melt away to another galaxy to ease my pain, with my baby, since daddy doesn't appreciate his blessings.

My 5 month old daughter LOVES to be "tossed" in the air, or spun around...she giggles her cute little butt off. BUT my mother-in-law has a COW when i do it, not that she is scared i'll drop her,(so she says), but she says ill "make her nervous and scared"... its not like this is my first time as a parent! i have a 10yr old, and an 8yr old (both boys)..its not like im throwing her 10 feet in the air, or spining a hundred miles per hour...so What is my mother-in-law's problem?

He is 6 months old, and we started out breastfeeding, which didn't work out due to some health problems I have and he wasn't getting enough milk. We had been supplementing w/ formula since birth, so we just switched over to that all the time. At about 3 months he started acting like he just wasn't getting full, and he was eating every hour, to hour and a half. So we started some baby food with his formula, now, he doesn't want his bottle and he will eat almost two 4 oz jars of food at a time if I let him at lunch, and a little more than a jar of cereal with fruit in it for breakfast. I can manage about two 8 oz bottles in him a day lately...is this okay, what if he wants less? He is a big baby, almost 17 lbs, well over 22 inches long. my friends baby who is the same age still is mainly formula fed and weighs 16 lbs. Mine seems super healthy...so any advice?

I've been reading that you should wait until the baby is at least 6 months old or the baby will be more at risk of developing respiratory or ear infections.

I just wonder if 6 months is the exact right time to introduce solids, or if waiting even longer is better if the baby is thriving on breastmilk.
