My friend's youngest son is named Jonah, and I love that little guy! So yeah, i think Jonah is awesome! Congrats!
P.S. - The story pf Jonah was, he didn't listen to God about going and preaching somewhere and he tried to run away, and he was on a boat and a great big whale came a swalllowed him. He was in the whale for a long time and finally obeyed God and went back to a city to preach. He was a man of God!

i think it's cute.
From the Hebrew name ××Ö¹× Ö¸× (Yonah) meaning "dove". This was the name of a prophet swallowed by a fish, as told in the Old Testament Book of Jonah. He emerged from the fish alive three days later.

No, because if you read the story of Jonah, he was an idiot who never listened to God. It basically ends up with him alone, sitting in the sand, with no shade and no life. Pick a name with a good background.

My cousin's child is Jonah, they call him Joe. I think it's a great name, regardless of stories about a character in the bible with that name.

Jonah means "dove" in Hebrew. That's pretty cool.
He'll probably get a lot of lame whale-related cracks early on in life, but otherwise it sounds good.

It's ok. Not one that I would pick but it's kinda cute. I would pick a stronger name for a boy. It's good for when he's little but I think it would be a bit sissy for when he's older.
