My aunt and uncle live near Canada and would always go over the border to get a diaper rash cream called something like "isles of paste"... My aunt & uncle (along with my parents & all my other relatives) all swear by it but you cant get it in the US... Does anyone know what the real name is and whether there is anywhere online that I can purchase it??? Thanks!!!!

Never heard of that one. If you can't find it online or have any relatives send it to you, go to your pharmacy and ask your pharmacist for Calmoseptine. It's not prescription, but they keep it behind the counter for some reason. It's regular old zinc oxide diaper cream, but it's also got calamine and menthol in it, so it's very soothing.

It can also be used for bug bites, drainage sites (for post-op patients who have drainage tubes) as well as a handful of other things. It's super thick (sort of like Balmex used to be, before the screwed around and changed the formulation and made it runny like all the other crappy (no pun intended, lmao) diaper creams out there) and stays on between diaperings.

I don't know about "isles of paste" but I have a great cure for diaper rash.

equal parts:
1 part lotrimin (atheletes foot cream, kills it)
1 part hydrocortison (to help w/the itch)
1 part diaper cream (whatever you use, I liked creamy desitine) it holds it all together.

mix it up in your hand and apply to the rash w/every diaper change. If you can let the baby go w/out a diaper to help keep the area dry.
This has always worked for us and worked very quickly.

My daughter just went through a BAD bout with diaper rash and someone from this board told me to try Milk of Magnesium and it worked great. Just put it on the tush like you would A&D or whatever and it will work.

This stuff work miracles after just one- two diaper changes it is mainly used for sore or chapped nipples when your breast feeding but they also recommend it for diaper rash. Lanolish it's in a purple box or tube, you can find it at Target.

You might try an online Canadian pharmacy. Or, you can alway try my trick which works overnight, Vaseline first, covered by a layer of Desitin Creamy. It works like a charm, every time!
