Does a milk allergy cause constipation? My son who just turned one has chronic constipation. He eats great (prunes, green veggies) and drinks both juice and water daily. His pediatrition just prescribed him Myrilax (on it for two days hasn't helped yet). I am allergic to milk and am wondering if this could be the cause of his constipation. His doc says he is too young to be tested for allergies and if this medicine doesn't work than he will refer him to a pediactric gastro doctor.

This question is for those who uses liquid concentrated formula.
Lets say you bring your baby to day care, evenings he is with you. Do you make a bunch of bottles and refrigerate them so you can have so many for day care and the other ones when you get home.

I work a very stressful, high demanding job with deadlines. If anyone works in the Transportation Industry, you know how hard it is to walk away from the desk. I am expecting a baby and I am single, so money is non unlimited. I would like to breast feed, but I'm concerned it will be too difficult. What do you think? I am already aware of the health benefits.

My son who is almost seven months old is currently in foster care. He is coming home June 30th and I got his schedule.

He drinks 6 oz bottles every three hours. The foster parents feed him once or twice daily (baby food). And he wakes up in the middle of the night like a newborn. I am not looking forward to this because I was up with him all the time when he was a newborn. I need help.

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!

I'm looking for creative ideas for what to do with unused pureed baby food now that my baby is refusing anything but finger foods. I have fruits, vegetables, and meats left over and I would like to incorporate them into my baby's meals. For instance I have been able to use some of the pureed meats and fruits as a spread on toast and then cut into small pieces (she really likes it). But, I need more ideas.

Our baby has only urinated since 3 am (13 hours ago). However, she has not had any bowel movements since 3am, only urinates. This is really worrying us as we are not aware if this is normal behavior in one week old newborns. If anyone can help us out, we'd really appreciate it. We're still waiting for the doctor to call us.

My baby girl has lately started this thing where she cries and whines as soon it's time for a diaper change, time to change clothing after a messy meal, and she does the same fuss over me leaving her sight to pee or go look after the cooking. It's only ME, never my husband or her big brother. I know she's full of baloney, because she is very sound and healthy and just got a clean bill of health from the pediatrician a few days ago. It's not a "I'm hungry" or an "I'm hurting" cry. It's just this annoying wail over a simple diaper change, or whatever...when just moments before she was squealing in happiness. It's driving me nuts!! My son never did this, so I'm lost. Is it just an attitude thing with baby girls? Or, should I try placing her in her bassinet for 15 minutes or so when she does this? She is a generally happy child, so this is strange.

I ask this question becuase a friend of mine just bought 2 puppies. They are going to be 4 months old and they don't have their shots. She asked me to take care of them for a week while she goes camping. But I have a 7 month old daughter and I don't know if this is a safe thing to do. My apartment is small, so I'm not sure if separating them at all time is going to be easy. Let me know if there is anything medically dangerous about them being around my child.
