My baby turned 11 months old today. He is long (or tall) for his age. I am tired of people saying that my son isn't much of a baby anymore just because of his length. He doesn't even sit up well yet. He does crawl. Never stood yet either. My daughter was big for her age too. Why do people say this?

I have never ever wanted to give birth infront of anyone but my husband. I just dont think I could go through so much pain with so many strangers around me. Do woman just get to the point in labour where they just dont care who touches them so long as the babies out? Or do people think that its 'just the done thing'. Back in the olden days woman would just squat in a field and deliver, nower days people want every doctor possible around them. I know its because people wouldnt want anything to happen to the baby, but if you knew nothing would happen to the baby then would you opt for a more private birth? And is it really more public in America than in England to give birth? (in the hall way of a hospital etc)

my son is very hungry but everytime he drinks more than an ounce of milk he throws up. i gave him pedialyte but he also threw up because of that. i don't know what to do. i just wanted to know if anybody will have the answer to this question.

OK! You know those REALLY lovely names you just LOVE but would never name your child? Tell me if I am crazy.... Do you think it is too crazy to spinoff the name to a slightly more normal version? Like, I adore the name Arabella (don't you? BEAUTIFUL!) but it's kind of a weird name, so what about Arielle? What do you think? Oh, and should all your kids middle names have a theme? Like, if I love to read, and far off in the future have kids, would it be too weird to name the middle names after my favorite charecters? Please no down right mean phrases, just honest opinions! My daughter is 5 mths old in a few days and already weighs 8.5 kilos (which is nearly19 lbs).... she is formula fed.... When should I start her on solids? Her health nurse says I can begin to give her rice cereal that was @ her 4 mth check up! but I'm scared to because the recommended age is 6 mths old! ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!

I have a five month old daughter who i love to pieces, but I miss working. I cant go back because my child refuses a bottle, so I figure it will be another 6 months before I can work again part time. i just miss being an adult sometimes and thinking about more besides baby and housework and cooking...anyone else?
