It's a little hard to imagine what babies dream about, because by the time they can talk they don't remember their baby dreams. I'm guessing their dreams are filled with sound and light and even smell. They hear in the womb, but there's not much to see, so when they get born and start seeing all the wonders of the world, it must give their little brains an incredible amount of information to process. Smell is a totally new concept too. Also, sound is different when it comes through the air rather than the amoniotic fluid. Dreaming is the way our brain sorts through stuff and makes sense of it, so I'd guess that's what they are doing. Considering the newness of everything, that's a lot of processing to do, so all those naps are very important times.

Mine did too! It is so weird...I think they dream about things they see throughout the day when they are awake...thier little brains are trying to figure it all out...someone once said to me they dream about "seeing the light" for the first month...LOL

If I had to guess they dream about food and about their parents. since when you think about it that's all their world revolves around so they must dream about it!!
and I bet if they have nightmares its about getting their diapers changed, and their parents disappearing.

it could be fun to imagine what your little one dreams about, though. it could be a fun game for you and your partner.

seriously,have u notice that baby sometimes smiles when they sleep? my grandma told me,its because their angels makes them smile..
so maybe angels play with them when theyre sleeping!
